I'm drowning in new stuff! I've got the feeling at work that I'm expected to know something that I really know nothing about. I hate it when this happens. I sort of panic sometimes which only increases the mental blockage I feel when trying to learn something under pressure. The best thing to do in these cases is just admit you don't know WTF is going on here and work your best to come up with something. Probably a 3-4 hour session to get this stuff done. Just got a new job prospect. Yeah! 3 month contract, development. Got called up by a recruitment guy this morning, in for a quick interview and then a technical exam. I heard yesterday that I'm my CIOs nephew! Wow how cool is that! Hopefully I'll hear some more interesting things soon. there's obviously a bit of a rumour mill grinding away somewhere here. My brothers girlfriend is just about to have their first baby! Which is really cool. An extra member of the family! Not much else to report.
