Well, day one just wrapped up and it's always interesting to ask. if politicians speak and it's not on television do their words reverberate with the general public? John McCain and Rudy Guliani hit the podium tonight, both speaking highly of W and the war in Iraq. There was plenty of reminders of 9/11 and a number of family members of the victims spoke. I'm still not a big fan of this attempt...

Bored me a bit with his insistence of talking about building alliances. It may be true, but it doesn't really strike home as strongly as some other points he made. Bush was in typical form. I have been away from writing for a long time now, years in fact. For reasons, I'll not disclose, my energy has been sapped, that once boundless imagination had been firmly locked away and the urge to pick up a pen had never been so distant.
