polskapolska: Lent
http://polskapolskas-two-cents.blogspot.com/2010/02/lent.html
No really, it's funny stuff the kids say or do and interesting (to me) stuff I find on the web. Feel free to leave comments. I love reading comments. Saturday, February 20, 2010. The past few years I've been pregnant and/or nursing a small babe. This year Tub of Love is a little older, so I'm making a greater effort to fast and abstain. I'm definitely out of practice. Ash Wednesday was hard! Thursday saw a hearty, healthy breakfast to make up for the lack of calories the day before. Life in the Slow Lane.

polskapolska: Breastfeeding Immodest? Whatev.
http://polskapolskas-two-cents.blogspot.com/2010/03/breastfeeding-immodest-whatev.html
No really, it's funny stuff the kids say or do and interesting (to me) stuff I find on the web. Feel free to leave comments. I love reading comments. Tuesday, March 09, 2010. I was made aware of a blog via this post. A pictoral essay addressing the issue of breastfeeding as being immodest. Since determining something as modest or immodest rests largely within the culture of that thing, there seems to be wide latitude as to what one can consider modest. Did I mention modest enough in this post?

polskapolska: Immaculate Conception Not Annunciation
http://polskapolskas-two-cents.blogspot.com/2009/12/immaculate-conception-not-annunciation.html
No really, it's funny stuff the kids say or do and interesting (to me) stuff I find on the web. Feel free to leave comments. I love reading comments. Thursday, December 10, 2009. Immaculate Conception Not Annunciation. So December 8 is not only Elizabeth's birthday, it is a Holy Day of Obligation. All day I knew we were going to mass, but I completely flubbed why. I thought it was the Annunciation. Nope, not. It was the Immaculate Conception. I guess it's a very Catholic sort of mistake. Teams of Our Lady.

When life hands you apples… – To the Points
https://tothepoints.wordpress.com/2009/09/15/when-life-hands-you-apples
When life hands you apples…. September 15, 2009. Last week, my sister in law gave me a bunch of apples – like, a bunch. Usually, I’d find an occaision to make pie with them, but a) I haven’t really been in the mood for pie, b) we aren’t entertaining any time soon (and pie to me says “party! 8221; or “picnic”). It was time to figure out what to do with them, before they got too fragrant and not edible. I did some thinking – apple butter? Too gross for words. Fritters? The Crafty/Make-y Bucket List. You ca...

The adventures of auntie booger. Tracking ordinary and extraordinary happenings in the life of this explorer. Thursday, January 15, 2015. Just ten feet away from me it’s a zero degree Fahrenheit evening, still and cold with Orion just peeking over the eastern treeline. Luckily there’s a window, a hot woodstove, and a chocolate colored dog in between me and the out-of-doors. A fine time to re-start a blog, if I do say so myself. A wee bit different climate than the next recent photo from this blog. No les...

the adventures of auntie booger: Finding My Way To Porcupine

The adventures of auntie booger. Tracking ordinary and extraordinary happenings in the life of this explorer. Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Finding My Way To Porcupine. The icicle-clad cliff, topped with hemlocks. I still remember the terror I felt during the first year of my wilderness immersion program, Anake, in Washington state. My instructors wanted me to wander. Wander? Just go out into the woods and follow my curiosity? Hell, no, thank you very much. The cliff was mesmerizing. Icicles, moss, sw...

The adventures of auntie booger. Tracking ordinary and extraordinary happenings in the life of this explorer. Friday, May 9, 2008. Yestermorrow: A Groovy Place To Be. Is the design/build school I'll be interning at this summer. Don't worry- "A Groovy Place To Be" is not it's slogan, although doesn't it sound like it fits? I believe that there is a better way, a more beautiful way, a more wholistic and healthy approach to building. Yestermorrow does too! Every season Yestermorrow hires about five intern.
