Our Journey to Emma: December 2010
http://ourjourneytoemma-kathy.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Our Journey to Emma. Follow along as we take this journey of adopting our little girl from China. Wednesday, December 29, 2010. We had a nice, quiet, and white Christmas! Apparently the last time it snowed in Atlanta on Christmas Day was in the year 1882. Wow, that was a few years ago! Emma Kate in her dress that Stephanie, Brian and Sylvie gave to her. We went to a Christmas party so this was the perfect thing for her to wear. Of course, she was the hit of the party. Christmas Eve posing for the camera.

Our Journey to Emma. Follow along as we take this journey of adopting our little girl from China. Wednesday, June 8, 2011. Well, another month has passed and we have been busy bees around here! Emma Kate and I got home in time to have our first Mother’s Day together. We had a nice day together. Emma Kate is talking more and more. She attempts to repeat what we say more often now. She can say cracker and go, go, go. I have included a video below of her saying “cracker”. The beaches there are just beautifu...

She has done great with the business and loves what she is doing! Back: David, Erica. Front: Jaynie, Calvin. We both went through lots of clothes that one day! Emma Kate is exerting more o...

Either way, I love both of my babies so much and am so proud of both of them. Which, of course, never happens. Are you so proud of me? And tonight, I'm going to sleep without my pappy! So I told her I would make a chart and we would put a sticker down for every night she slept without a pappy and when she got 10 stickers she could get a special present. Well - we have EIGHT stickers now! She has not slept with one since. Hallelujah! The, to top all of this great development off! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Sometimes I love those rainy weekends, though. And the garden really appreciated a good soaking. I finally planted everything this past weekend. Here are some pictures of my pretty deck. Last night during Tessa's pre-sleep brain dump, I couldn't help but just stare at her and wonder how beautiful and smart she is. When she pasued for a second I said "Tessa, you are so beautiful. Where did you get your beautiful from? Ellis had is 2-yr check-up and the Doctor said he was PERFECT! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

My little Patriot (and Mandarin Speaker). I'm running in my first 5K in two weeks, I may regret doing that, but we'll see. I know, I know, I totally stole the title from the Wright Brothers, sue me! We saw the pilots waiting at our gate, so Opa took her up and introduced her. Not only did she get her first set of wings, the invited her into the cockpit once we boarded! She thought that was really cool. Guess who got the window seat? Omi and Opa were right behind us. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Ellis showing his 'emotions' he learned in school. 'Funny' is my favorite. Watch out Ludakris, Justin Bieber may have just found your replacement. Tessa loved the surf, but didn't want to actually go in the Ocean. Ellis was scared of the surf at first, but then loved it and even loved going into the ocean (with his swimmies on of course). He even wanted to swim by himself in the ocean. YEAH RIGHT, like I would let my sweet little boy go in the water. Today was Tessa's 1st day in GA Pre-K. The school ...

Hopeful Hearts - Our Journey to Eli
Tuesday, February 23, 2010. You've got to be kidding me. They let my insurance person know before letting the parents know. And then, as if that isn't enough to make me see red, when Eli calls tonight, he is jumping for joy because they had been hyping it up to him all day that he was going home tomorrow. They had the absolute NERVE to discuss this with a 6 year old child, but couldn't tell me that they were discharging him? And you know why? Monday, February 22, 2010. Well, by 4 pm I received a phonecal...

AND with her arm dangling and a bone poking out. It was awful! We felt so sorry for her. Afterwards the doctor came out and said all wen...

July 10, 2015. The month of June has been absolutely crazy for us! We just got back from our trip to Disneyland and we all had so much fun! We can’t wait to go back soon! Two teenagers and a 14 month old in a tiny little car for an 8 hour road trip? We managed to survive the drive and enjoy the magic that Disneyland had to offer. Seeing Haven meet the characters was the highlight of my entire life. She melted my heart when she met Minnie. Thanks for stopping by!
