This Little Home of Mine: February 2012
http://thislittlehomeofmine.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
This Little Home of Mine. Monday, February 27, 2012. Lions and Tigers and Bears? My kid would rather spend 20 minutes playing on the out of order quarter machine! My husband captioned this photo as "Takin' a Dump in the Dump Truck" LOL! A close second to the Dump Truck was the Merry Go Round. Landon was also very intrigued by the Reptile House and the Flamingos. I especially love this picture because I don't have too many pics of me and The Wombat. Saturday, February 25, 2012. And here ya go! A Diamond i...

Tuesday, March 24, 2015. Do you remember this one? How many times do you hear a song and the memories flood in? Pictures, scenes, smells, thoughts, feelings, conversations, decisions, tears, laughter, etc. you're back in high school in your first car singing your head off; or riding along on a bike with your mom to the mall; or running to yet another upbeat song that's popular for the moment? About a week ago, I emailed my best friend with a random memory from March 2004. She laughed. Hell, it was releas...

Seriously?: June 2012

Saturday, June 9, 2012. Healthy, Lactose Friendly Lasagna. I have been craving homemade lasagna for about a week now. However, when you’re lactose intolerant, you have no option but to make it at home. Seriously! I also like to avoid using soy based products to make my meals lactose friendly. Instead, I’ve found some almond milk cheese at Whole Foods that tastes no different than real cheese. 8 ounce package mushrooms (heads thinly sliced). 125 lean ground turkey (fat: 93/7). 1/2 cup minced yellow onion.

Monday, September 10, 2012. A Swift Kick in Verizon’s Ass. 8220;I am so pissed off, I’m molting.”. If I could cancel my service with Verizon right now, I would. They pushed me to the edge with their idiocy and leave me with NO choice. I’ve been backed into a corner where the ONLY option I have left is to spend MORE money. Oh, but I digress. Let me share the delightful story. Well, of course, Verizon had just enacted a new rule as of June 28. So, do any of you have a price breakpoint? The bill is now offi...

Saturday, March 19, 2011. Reflections of a Newbie Marathoner. Last month, I ran my first full marathon. I tried to collect my thoughts to share with others, but it’s taken me this long to find a time to squeeze out a blog. There are so many emotions and thoughts to collect, that it took some time and reflection. Even as I write this, I have to think about how to make it all coherent. Here we go –. Part 1: The Run. I will start off with this: It was without any doubt, an amazing. Part 2: The Challenge.

Sunday, September 25, 2011. Warszawa – here I come again! So for those that don’t know – I’m Polish. :). My parents are both from Warsaw, came here in 1981, and ended up settling because of various circumstances – including me, job and then my brother. My Polish heritage – upbringing, language, customs, history, etc – are a very important part of my life. It’s something that I identify with daily. Cousins in the UK and South Africa… a second cousin in Australia… I think that covers it? It gets a bit over...

Friday, November 22, 2013. Celebrating Chaplin's One-Year-Anniversary With Us. It's been almost been a year since my black fur ball came home. and I guess I never wrote how he came to be Chaplin. So, here's the story of how and why. As you had maybe seen in previous posts, I had an orange fur ball. Charlie. She’s my fur baby. Well, I dreamed for months to get another cat, so she could have a friend. After my move. Approach but well, I. Think it’s pure perfection.). At me from across the room. Almost ...
