It was reported that 80% of the population have tooth abrasion. Contributing factors include: aggressive bushing, outward tooth position and gum recession. How do we treat it? Before and After Photos. Before: root exposure usually are caused by aggressive brushing or tooth expansion (e.g. orthodontic treatment). After: a pieace of gum tissure obtained from roof of mouth was placed on exposed root area. Before: the abrasion is caused by strong frenum pull ( caused gum receding) plus aggrasive brushing. Dentists often place a filling to cover the abrasion, but it cause more gum receding (foreign body will induce more gum recession.). Cerec crown placed on two mini implants.
