What I’m into lately:. It all started several years ago with Downton Abbey then Dr. Who and now I find myself watching more. Ordinarily Extraordinary » Faith, Art, Photography.Life. Arts, Crafts, Creativity. Wednesday, January 22, 2014. 500 Words, Physical Science, & Brain Mush. You wouldn’t think five hundred words a day would be difficult. You might be wrong. I have missed a few days during the 500 Words a day challenge. As much I would like to challenge myself each day to sit and write five hundred words, some days it just is not going to happen. You see, with him, the realizing it for himself has always been the key. I che...

I pray for Holy Spirit to wash peace over my soul. New buildings, new routines, new teachers, new classmates. Will he find his classes okay? Will he learn to change for P.E. quickly? Will he lose his things? Will he adjust to 7 classes and 7 new teachers? Will he remember to bring home the right books and what the homework assignments are? Knowi...

Ordinarily Extraordinary » Faith, Art, Photography.Life. Arts, Crafts, Creativity. Friday, May 2, 2014. Spring at the Gardens. Saturday, January 11, 2014. The Post about Kiffin & the University of Alabama. So I have some thoughts on the Lane Kiffin hire at the University of Alabama as offensive coordinator. A hire that seems to have Alabama fans tilting their heads perplexed. And if you are not from the south and are wondering, yes, football is taken very seriously in this state.). 3 Assistant coaches at...

Treasured Creations: Wedding finds!!
http://treasured-creations.blogspot.com/2015/07/wedding-finds.html
Monday, July 13, 2015. My favorite part of wedding planning is definitely setting up the venue! With that comes the opportunity to shop for unique items that can be used in different ways then you would normally imagine. I have to admit scouring the stores for decorations makes me a bit giddy! That and catching an item on sale or clearance! My best friends so far have been Target, Marshall's and Ross! You will have to wait to see how I use the items above! Thursday, June 18, 2015. The theme for Nicki's bridal shower is Vintage Lemon Yellow and Cotton Candy Pink. She also really likes mason jars. So we have been brainstorming ideas for the decorations and I thought I would share a few of the thins we have picked up for the big day. The twine was from the dollar spot at Target and will be used around mason jars lips. These were at Roses for $7.00 bucks! Thursday, June 11, 2015. 32nd Anniversary and a bit of Wedding Venue shopping! We literally live next door...

February | 2012 | Proems on Not Yet

Proems on Not Yet. Piercing Through My Murky Glass. All posts for the month February, 2012. On February 21, 2012. I have decided to give up all of social media for Lent. I spend a lot of time reading tweets, scanning Facebook, Gchatting, and investing in blogs. I don’t believe any of these are inherently bad, but I do know they are taking a toll on my most important relationships. Instead of silencing myself and praying, I find myself on social media. And all of this needs to stop. On Let Me Know. Proems...

Proems on Not Yet. Piercing Through My Murky Glass. On December 8, 2011. This preschool is located in an informal settlement with dirt roads plagued by sewage. Help me give Catherine a ride to work! Now that the cat is out of the bag. I am in a season of building support for my move to South Africa. I have been blown away by all of the encouragement and prayers you all have been giving. It means so much to be surrounded by life-giving community. Thank you all. I am happy to say that you have given. Leave...

Head Full of Doubt, Road Full of Promise
Head Full of Doubt, Road Full of Promise. Saturday, August 18, 2012. 31,536,000 seconds. Oh, the distance a year can bring us. It makes us older. This time last year I was preparing to leave the home, community, and life I had built in a city I dearly loved. I was stepping out into the unknown, into a big adventure, into something to which the Lord was calling me. Saying "yes" without a clue, simply trusting in His goodness, provision, and faithfulness. One year later. 365 days. A few years back, a dear ...
OrdinarilyDifferent | The tale of an ordinary person with a different life
The tale of an ordinary person with a different life. September 17, 2017. I’ve been playing soccer now for about 17-18 years (there’s an ongoing debate on if I was 3 or 4 when I started). The point is though, that’s a long time. That’s basically my entire life. I started watching soccer like the day I was born basically, and grew up at the fields. Dad was coaching or Zac, my older brother, was playing. Where are you, God? April 3, 2017. Well, I have. A lot actually. But I don’t know the last time I...
Ordinarily Divine
Experiencing the Divine in the ordinary things of life. Wednesday, April 22, 2015. A God Lesson - Giving. I love when one of the kids has a "God moment". Seemingly a small, fleeting moment, but really such a treasure in a day or week that might otherwise be causing me to question my parenting abilites (or lack thereof). Last week, our 9-year-old was obsessed about a Lego set he wanted to get. He "needed" a way to earn money! It is more blessed to give than to receive.". Sunday, May 25, 2014. We really lo...
