Life on Stepping Stone Lane: October 2009
http://lifeonsteppingstonelane.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Life on Stepping Stone Lane. Monday, October 26, 2009. Where did the time go? It's so hard to accept. The fact that our children grow up. It's the one thing in their lives that we have absolutly no say so in. There isn't a paper to sign. No permission to give. I don't like it. I knew it would happen, but did it have to happen so fast? Ok, so 16 1/2 years isn't exactly fast, but still! Is it because I have a tendency to be a little bit of a control freak? Am I in denial? I don't know, maybe all three!

Skeet's Journey: November 2009
http://skeetandmsa.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
MSA-C and Stem Cell Treatment. Monday, November 30, 2009. Doctor's Visit on Nov. 17, 2009. I realize that I am a little delayed in posting this - perhaps because there was not much to report. Skeet's first doctor's visit was just 13 days after the implantation. Basically the neurologist stated that there were no positive changes ("yet" - my words, not his). It was noted, however, that when Skeet's blood pressure dropped upon standing, it did recover a bit more quickly than previously. I'm sure that I won...

Skeet's Journey: 6 MILLION STEM CELLS!!
http://skeetandmsa.blogspot.com/2009/11/6-million-stem-cells.html
MSA-C and Stem Cell Treatment. Wednesday, November 4, 2009. 6 MILLION STEM CELLS! That's gotta be good - right? I woke up this morning to a text message from Skeet, "Hey sis 6 million stem cells." This came in at 4:55 am EST. I sent a note back asking if the implantation had been done and have not received a response so I'm hoping that it was and that he is resting. Even though I felt that this was a good number, I couldn't be certain so I referred back to Steve's Blog (. Hi Sis.yes.the treatment...Im gl...

MSA-C and Stem Cell Treatment. Sunday, September 20, 2009. How Do You Say Good-Bye to Your Baby Brother. I'm praying that I don't have to. And, in case you think that this is just a request for money, which it quite blatantly is, I am also going to try to document my brother's journey (with the help of my sister). I hope to be able to learn more about this disease and to share with you his progress. If anyone has any first-hand knowledge of MSA-C, please share what you know with us. NIH Stem Cell Informa...

Skeet's Journey: January 2010
http://skeetandmsa.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
MSA-C and Stem Cell Treatment. Thursday, January 21, 2010. Stem Cells Transplanted in ALS Patient in U.S. Watching CNN this morning, I saw a brief mention of this in the ticker at the bottom of the screen. After an e-mail to CNN and much "googling", I found the following article:. Http:/ www.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/01/21/stem.cell.spine/. Since I live in the Atlanta area, I will be following this closely and hoping that Skeet's next transplant can take place right here. Wednesday, January 20, 2010. His blood...
