Back on the shuttle bus up into the alpine. We began the twenty nine mile descent with wide open sandy singletrack, with a few rocks scattered in, and as we descended, the rocks came thick and fast, until we were monster trucking over sections of just rock, passing each other on sketchy corners, stopping to check the view, then doing it all again!

After a few big days on the bike, we thought we would give our chafed butts a rest and head to Arches National park, to check out some more of Mother Nature’s work, this time on foot. A small hike in brought us from sandy desert to huge slick rock structures, sculpted by the weather into enormous arches. So many in such a small area too, it is kid of surreal. Dead horse point state park.
