fille de neige: April 2010
http://nzsnowchick.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Tales from the volcano - and elsewhere. Tuesday, April 27, 2010. Mild temps continue to rock on. Still hovering around 20 degree highs most days in AK. Although we have had a temperature drop of sorts, and some coolish streaks (sometimes reaching for the extra blanket) it still does not feel like we have had THE icy autumn blast. Think it's still summery. View from the kitchen over my morning coffee. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I like to snowboard as much as I possibly can! View my complete profile.
fille de neige: July 2009

Tales from the volcano - and elsewhere. Tuesday, July 28, 2009. Goggle tan - whoops. I feel kinda bad for not writing anything last week as the last weekend of the school holidays was spent nice and dry indoors - but this weekend just gone was bluebirds and more than made up for it. especially for a weekend warrior like myself. Into Sunday - cool clear and blue skies once again - stoked. Did anyone notice the crazy cloud over Taranaki way in the morning? It was weird - I wish I got a picture! I had booke...

Tales from the volcano - and elsewhere. Monday, December 7, 2009. You are a (mountain) goat! The Goat 2009 - The Pinnicles @ Whakapapa through the mist. The Goat 2009 - race briefing. The Goat 2009 - start at Top of the Bruce, Whakapapa. The Goat 2009 - finish at Turoa carpark. Have you goat what it takes? Is the question on everyone's lips at this time each year as they tackle The Goat. Working on the event crew you see some familiar faces year on year and I like talking to people to find out if they ha...
fille de neige: Well, that was winter 2012
http://nzsnowchick.blogspot.com/2012/10/well-that-was-winter-2012.html
Tales from the volcano - and elsewhere. Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Well, that was winter 2012. I have ticked the important boxes, like. July day at Turoa with my friend for her birthday. Got paid for work to be on snow at SnowPark. For an event we were involved in. In Sep near my birthday I did a spring summit hike to the crater lake (Whakapapa side). I've also continued to purchase kit for Japan. Latest item is Sorel Boots (Helen of Tundra). I like to snowboard as much as I possibly can!
fille de neige: October 2009
http://nzsnowchick.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Tales from the volcano - and elsewhere. Monday, October 19, 2009. A big drive and then no action. Looking at the weather report we knew it would be closed Saturday, so arrived in Ohakune Saturday arvo hoping for Sunday. It would be great if it was another good Sunday like last Sunday! Instead Saturday evening brought us intense hail and thunder. Alas Sunday was closed. Closed at 13km mark on Sunday. Monday, October 12, 2009. After the big snow. Well, it was another sketchy weather forecast for the weeken...

Snow and Ski Blog. November 20th, 2014 / Categories: Ski Trips. Minnesota, commonly called the land of 10,000 lakes is usually chilly throughout the winter season being located in the norther portion of the US. Summers in Minnesota can be hot, but in the winter it is extremely cold with sub-zero temperatures quite frequently. Can be quite challenging throughout the snowy season. Yet all these do not make Minnesota a frustrating, gloomy and also excruciating location to live in during the cold winter....
NZ Snow Tours
Thursday, July 16, 2009. Wherever I Lay My Hat (That's My Home) (#10). Every time I write this blog I normally start with the weather and such like, this week is no different. We are expecting more snow Thursday thru Saturday with the met service predicting between 10-15 cm, from Turoa down to Coronet Peak. The temperatures have stayed really cold so all this new snow is just a bonus! Just adding to an already solid base. Oh and we had an earthquake in Wanaka! We have now got both van’s sorted!
