Tuesday, December 16, 2014. Mom Saved The Day! Mom was so excited for her first grandchild to be born was an understatement! Mom and Dad and Grandma and Grandpa came to Hays, Kansas at the St. Joseph Hospital to see their first grandchild and first great-grandson when he was born. Merlyn ran two stop signs and a stop light to get me to the hospital, as a side note! When the Dr announced in the delivery room that we had a big strong boy, he said, "He looks like an Alexander to him! Mom saved the day!
