Peevish Boy: February 2010
http://peevishboy.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Comments on my passing life. Monday, February 1, 2010. Dont Do me any Favors. OK If you're riding the bus and you get to the end of the line, stand up when your turn comes and get off. You're not being polite by waiting. If you make me stop and wait, that's rude. If you continue to sit, forcing me to go first, you now add a mild sense of guilt: was I too pushy, should I have waited longer? And you still slow down the whole remainder of the bus when debarking should be a smooth, simple process.

Peevish Boy: March 2013
http://peevishboy.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Comments on my passing life. Sunday, March 31, 2013. For someone who does not like joining, I seem to end up in a lot of things I would not do on my own. I suppose it must peer pressure. I find that I have agreed to attempt both NaPoWriMo (a poem posted each day in April) as well as Camp NaNoWriMo, a novel in April. What was I thinking? So check in here for poems and progress reports. Assuming I make any. Friday, March 22, 2013. I think I understand now. You see, I'm in that sector of the populace that a...

Peevish Boy: August 2011
http://peevishboy.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Comments on my passing life. Tuesday, August 23, 2011. 3rd day in a row. I'm not sure I've ever ridden a "real" bike ride three days in a row. But I suspect I've reached that weird (and fabled) point where riding is the high point of my day. It used to be cooking dinner. I'm sure dinner will return to priority as soon as the weather turns cold. I rode my regular loop. That's how I feel about it now. It's 25 miles and covers the Scatchet Head, Ewing, and Bayview climbs. Monday, August 22, 2011. I got off ...

Peevish Boy: July 2012
http://peevishboy.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Comments on my passing life. Thursday, July 5, 2012. First day of Summer. A blistering Fourth of July! When the thermometer hit 70F, I had to take the bike out for a spin. There are no flat rides on Whidbey, so the 30 miles I rode made me proud. And 1500 kcals burned are not to be sneezed at either. With the hour of walking earlier plus a bit of yard work later, it was a good day. Happy Independence Day to you all! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). First day of Summer. Places I go to Read.

Comments on my passing life. Sunday, March 7, 2010. Trying a new thing (for me). I've been back-reading Gelernter's ideas on Lifestream; I read Mirror Worlds when it came out, but lost touch until I stumbled across www.edge.org and his latest updates to the concept. I agree that the desktop metaphor makes things more difficult than it should be. So I'm trying chi.mp under one of my aliases. Jump to santomas.mp and see how it looks. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Peevish Boy: December 2011
http://peevishboy.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Comments on my passing life. Friday, December 23, 2011. I usually use Blogo to build my blog posts, on those rare occasions when I actually do. Post something. But today I notice that there's an error reported now. Following up on that, I learned that Blogo won't run under Lion, the next upgrade to Mac OSX. So it has to go. I won't put out $40 so easily, so now I'm trying Ecto. Pardon me if there's silly images posted; IIRC, ease of image posting is why I went with Blogo in the first place. Instead, I se...

Peevish Boy: May 2011
http://peevishboy.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Comments on my passing life. Monday, May 23, 2011. Sometimes a person may feel out of sync with the weather. No one talks about that. All we hear is "Spring Fever", "Winter Blahs", "Summertime Fun". Is there any sympathy for those who feel the opposite of the norm for the weather? Where is the support for people who are depressed by sunshine or invigorated by rain? I can't say that the walk helped, but now my legs are tired so that's something. Frankly, I'd rather walk in the rain than in the sun. I'm no...

Peevish Boy: October 2012
http://peevishboy.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Comments on my passing life. Tuesday, October 9, 2012. One of my sisters gave me our grandmother's doll book. The book was made in the early 1900s and each outfit was handmade from scraps of clothes my grandmother acquired from her sisters and aunts. Each outfit has a long page of darling text, added some fifty years later. The thing is, receiving this book reminded me that I hadn't finished the last photo album yet. I went to the computer to remind myself how far I'd gotten. And searched a few days for ...

Comments on my passing life. Saturday, December 15, 2012. Forced to go online. Well, another frustrating afternoon fighting software. Perhaps the thing to do is succumb to the tedium of posting from within a browser. I mean, really, is that so hard? Especially given how seldom I post here. So what's the difference? Nothing, except that I need to remember the password here. Using Ecto. And the now-apparently-dead blogo. I only had to click on "post". Further whines about blog software. To make this short,...
