Work travel, discovery … and a rubber chicken. Echidnas, Walls, Walks and Rainbows. August 7, 2016. I just found this post stuck in my drafts so – for what it’s worth, here’s a post from our Tasmanian travels earlie in the year! Oh, Tasmania, the hardest heart would understand. Just to feel your wilderness, the wilderness for me. The scenery is, on the whole quite lovely and on occasion spectacular. There are birds that turn my head and twist my ear. They are familiar, and yet not. They make ...Today we ...

About Us | podontheroad
https://podontheroad.wordpress.com/about
Work travel, discovery … and a rubber chicken. We are a married couple who are forty something and fifty something respectively. We are on the road, in our motorhome – which unlike us is pretty much brand new and still under warranty. We are seeking work as we travel and fun while we work. We are up for almost anything on the work front and mostly we like to meet new people, go new places and learn new skills. We also love customer service and being of service in general. Work travel, discovery … and a rubber chicken. August 2, 2016. We will be saying a big NO thanks and see you later to any workplaces that bear the hallmarks of toxicity, such as:. There are many more, and lots of great sites and plenty of literature discussing the issue – our man in aim is just to stay well clear of it. We have had too many good jobs, great work experiences and genuinely wonderful leaders to believe that we (or anyone really) needs to stay stuck in a negative situation.

Work travel, discovery … and a rubber chicken. The Sound of Silence. November 12, 2016. Now it’s late, once again – but I thought it a reasonable idea to attend this space and supply some kind of an update. A page in our story. We were in tropical North Queensland last I wrote. I am on the New South Wales South Coast now and Tony (husband) is in Greece, though he will return to join me here in a couple of weeks. I hope and trust that you all are well and happy. We have been, for the most part –...Novembe...

Work travel, discovery … and a rubber chicken. Leaving ‘The World’ Behind. August 8, 2016. This morning we are striking North from the town sometimes affectionately referred to as Charlie’s Trousers. Greenvale and The Lynd lie ahead of us, up the Gregory Development Road. I am assured that it is all bitumen these days, with good shoulders even. A bit different to when I last passed through this way, some twenty years ago. This entry was posted in Places. And tagged Cat Stevens. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Work travel, discovery … and a rubber chicken. The View from our Van. August 14, 2016. I had forgotten the smell of the rainforest almost. Not just that heady humus scent but the sounds, the sometimes soft but never silent sounds of life, so much abundance in so many and varying layers of life. Even in death, in the decomposition and regeneration the rainforest is full of life. The insects are singing, so are the birds, the dogs are barking. Life springs abundant, all around us. We are blessed. Gentle Ar...

Work travel, discovery … and a rubber chicken. Back on the Open Road. August 5, 2016. Today was wonderful. We shopped at the veggie truck which stops periodically in Birdsville then met friends at the bakery for breakfast, coffees, chats and hanging out. We headed off about midday and then stopped for a late lunch in Bedourie. Tonight we are at Boulia and tomorrow will see us on the road to Winton. The coast is calling and we hear vanilla plants, painting and re-roofing projects on friends properties cal...
