North Cottage Guest Suite. Nothing is very far away in Victoria, which means lots of choices for getting around. Downtown is 25 minutes away on foot along the Galloping Goose Trail. It passes through the park, various developments and the shipyards before reaching the Johnson St Bridge, the "blue bridge". Banfield Park is two minutes away on foot. There you'll find tennis courts, the dock and kayak launch, a recreation centre, and a number of benches with views of the water. Helmets are mandatory in BC!

North Cottage Guest Suite. Popular Things to Do. Butchart gardens (fireworks on Saturday nights in the summer). Tea at the Empress Hotel. Our Favourite Things to Do. Bicycle along the Lochside trail to Mattick's Farm (30 minutes each way). Bicycle to Island View Beach (less than an hour each way) and have a picnic. Walk downtown along Galloping Goose Trail. Stop for some treats at the organic French bakery and then shuffle next door for coffee outside on the terrace. Rent a kayak and paddle on the Gorge.

North Cottage Guest Suite. Arrive in the style that suits you. Airlines and small hopper flights fly into Victoria International Airport mostly routed through Seattle or Vancouver, but also from Calgary, Hawaii, and Kelowna. The drive from the airport (near Sidney) is about 35 minutes on the highway. An airporter bus leaves every half hour with drop-offs in Victoria a short taxi ride from North Cottage. A transit bus will require one transfer downtown to get to Northcottage. Victoria Clipper from Seattle.
