The New Hampshire Department of Transportation has developed a program to expand intercity and commuter bus service in the I-93 corridor, providing an alternative to auto travel between southern New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Estimated total ridership for the expanded service is 371,000 passenger trips in the first year, increasing to 522,000 in the third year. At Exit 2 in Salem a 470-space Park-and-Ride was created.
