Tales from Texas: March 2014
http://smithfamily07.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 17, 2014. Well, since I am the world's very best mom.I am admitting straight up, that I did not snap a single picture during spring break - unless you count countless pics of science fair action shots from every single angle! So this is a more documentary type of post.one, that just documents what we did, so that years from now (or even as soon as next week, since my kids have a knack of forgetting how amazingly fun we actually are! I LOVE being away and disconnecting from everything!

Tales from Texas: Travel Companions
http://smithfamily07.blogspot.com/2014/12/travel-companions.html
Saturday, December 27, 2014. My traveling companion as we headed out for a quick errand this morning. Liv made sure she was buckled in tight and had a great squishy kiss on her head before she would leave the front seat and get buckled in her own seat in the back. :). Love that you never know what you're going to get with Liv! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Darrell and Sheri Smith Histories.

Wednesday, April 9, 2014. Guess who has entered the ranks of official shoe tiers? After watching Ethan learn this all important life-skill years ago, Olivia picked it up after me showing her just once. She must have been processing the info for months now and was ready to go once she officially tried it! Now she is tying everything in sight into nice, neat little bows! Got to love that she learned with my shoes! Extra long laces proved to be super beneficial! I love her bright cheery bows!

Tales from Texas: May 2014
http://smithfamily07.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 3, 2014. Liv: Mom, I want to type something. Me: (handing her the laptop) Okay. Liv: Will you help me write it? Liv: Okay. I want to write "I wish I could be a fly.". Me: Do you mean "You wish you could fly"? I want to be a fly! Now, will you help me write it? I love getting a glimpse into Olivia's funny little mind! Apparently, first thing on a Saturday morning is a good time to be a fly! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Darrell and Sheri Smith Histories.

Tales from Texas: The hat and how it RUINED her life
http://smithfamily07.blogspot.com/2015/02/the-hat-and-how-it-ruined-her-life.html
Friday, February 6, 2015. The hat and how it RUINED her life. When I was little, I remember being extremely self-conscience. I hated that about myself then.and still hate it about myself even today. So imagine my excitement when I have daily reminders that I get a second chance at helping lovely little girl through those exact same crazy emotions. AND TODAY TAKES THE CAKE! You get the gist. Fun and easy and totally up to the kids if they want to participate! Self-conciousness at its worst! I find myself ...

Wednesday, December 18, 2013. Turning Back the Clock. Ethan came downstairs this morning and seemed a little out of sorts. We asked him if he could go up and get dressed for school and this is the conversation that ensued. Steve - E, go get dressed for school and then you can eat breakfast. Ethan - (voice a little wobbly) But I already went to school. You haven't gone to school. You just woke up! Ethan - (now with a tremor in his voice) But I did already go to school, Dad! I did, Dad! You look soooo cute!

Tales from Texas: Projects...
http://smithfamily07.blogspot.com/2014/07/projects.html
Saturday, July 12, 2014. Let's find a project to do! This is what I heard the very most during the early summer weeks. I love when my kiddos get their creative juices flowing. They get along so well and keep themselves entertained for hours.a total win-win! Ethan read that if you let it sit for a day or two, the marshmallow joints harden a bit, so it catapults a bit better.so we were all banned from touching it for 2 days! But what do we find as it sits? Thats so cute. Its hard to resist a marshmallow.

Tales from Texas: October 2014
http://smithfamily07.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 20, 2014. Ethan just single handedly threw me under the bus. As he was heading off to bed, Ethan paused at the top of the stairs and calls down, "Mom, you know how some kids moms wake up before they do in the mornings before school? Maybe you could do that so I don't have to get my own snack and water bottle.". But hey.I'm raising a self-sufficient group of kids. It's for their own good, right? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
