Class of 2012ではPEVC出身者の比率がrecord numberに. Twitterでもつぶやいたのですが、今年の新1年生はPEVC出身者が占める割合がrecord numberで、また卒業後PEVCに就職を希望している割合(入学時点)も非常に高いとの話を1,2年生、また学校側からもよく聞きます。 この話を聞いた時、ふと他の学校のPEVC出身者比率がどうなっているのかなと少し気になったので、簡単に調べてみました。 HBS 18%(Class of 2012). Wharton 16%(Class of 2012). Chicago 8%(Class of 2011). Stanford 30%(Investment Management(IB,PE,VC等)としての数値、Class of 2012). Tuck 19%(Investment Banking and Private Equityとしての数値、Class of 2011). Tory Burchという洋服のブランドは、妻にとって、はたまた最近では日本の多くの女性にとってのお気に入りのブランドのようです。私はアメリカに来てから初めてこのブランドの名前を聞きましたが、最初は"鳥居蜂"という蜂のことかと本気で思いました。 ということで、ちょっと気になって、Tory Burchについて調べてみました。 Tory Burch Foundationを2008年に設立。女性の社会進出をサポートしている。また、アメリカ国内の低所得者層の起業をサポートするために、ACCION USAと提携している. ということで、フィリー・UPENNという観点で親近感が湧くと共に、Philanthropyに対するコミットメントに強く興味を持ちました。WhartonのRetail Conferenceとかに来てくれればいいなと思います。 ちなみに余談ですが、NY近郊にあるWoodbury Common Outletの中のTory Burchは日本の価格と比べると相当程度安いようです。先日も行ってきましたが、卒業までにまた行くことになりそうです。 New Daddy in Wharton. 最近読み終えた安藤忠...
