Along for the Ride...: Step one...
http://journeyoftheclaypot.blogspot.com/2011/04/step-one.html
Along for the Ride. Thursday, April 14, 2011. Thanks for your prayers! I got a temporary visa today that will allow me to travel outside the country and re-enter for up to three months. After that I have to stay until the decision is made on the work visa. But YAY they are letting me go. :) We can attend our wedding! Went to the Greek consulate as well but the guy who "may" be able to help me was out sick. I'm sure he was on strike. These are Greeks after all! Labels: Life in Oz. 4/14/11, 7:11 PM. Go, Sh...

A team retreat is a beautiful thing, in that it provides time away to worship and fellowship together. It was my joy to sing along with the girls during worship, and to actually display my parents talent (having a Mom with lots of musical ability and a Dad that loves to sing! Not to mention that as a team we experienced the true joys of Greece, the outdoors! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Picture Window template. Powered by Blogger.

This past fall my life changed, even more than I would have anticipated. Ed Ballard asked me to marry him in the midst of an apple orchard on a chilly day in Indiana. This coming summer on 6 July 2013 we will be married. And I will be Mrs Stacie Ballard. How cool is that? So many years of prayer, so many questions, so many hopes and well wishes.and God has honored me with the gift of marriage. What comes next will be another chapter as a sojourner. But sometimes, it is family. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

And so the Christmas outreaches of Nea Zoi gave gifts to those on the streets of Athens. And so a new year begins. This is the beginning of 2012 and a new step forward in the life of a sojourner. May this blog now become something which tells the tale of those who can not tell tales for themselves, as well as the struggles of the one who hears the tales and lacks compassion, or a course to change the path of others. Watermelon, friends and the weekend. Sunio along the coast of mainland Greece - a wonderful day excursion with friends! The site was hot but interesting, but the beach and watermelon were the best part! Except for the sea urchins of course. For 10 days I had the priviledge of hanging out with a group from Southwest Hills Church where my sister and her husband attend in Portland, Oregon. The gals came to help, and encourage and challenge and celebrate. Thanks all who sent them! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Along for the Ride...: Cluck.

Along for the Ride. Sunday, April 10, 2011. I attended my first ever "hens' night" last night. We would call it a bachelorette party, but being in the spirit of the queen as they are here (they drive on the wrong side of the road, for goodness' sake), it was a bona fide hens' party. And it was for me! Me with Deb B, Jeannie (part of the family I live with), and Deb F. My new "in laws" - Kate (cousin), Margaret (aunt), "Mummo" (Grandma in Finnish),. Cathryn, Adele (Andrew's sis), and Amy. 4/11/11, 7:47 AM.
