Prof. R. Sowdhamini : Computational Approaches to Protein Sciences : NCBS - TIFR
Computational Approaches to protein Science. Prof R. Sowdhamini. We are interested in the emerging field of bioinformatics, using computation to analyze genome sequences, studying protein structural similarities, and in the development of tools to aid such analyses. Development of tools for such predictive exercises. Large-scale sequence analysis of proteins that are determined by genome sequence projects. Applying existing methods to specific systems which are of interest to collaborative research.

Architecture of phosphoinositide signalling systems | Raghu Padinjat's Lab
National Centre for Biological Sciences. Architecture of phosphoinositide signalling systems. We mainly use Drosophila as our model system; the goal is to discover key principles of signal transduction that are likely to be conserved during evolution but are experimentally more tractable in Drosophila. It is hoped that in the medium term, our analysis in Drosophila will inform studies of equivalent signalling pathways in mammalian models with more immediate biomedical relevance.
