Last night we moored at Bulls Bridge and as it was Craig's last night with us it was agreed that we would go for an Indian in Southall. http://themaisibert.blogspot.com/2015/07/we-left-stowe-hill-late-on-thursday-and.html
This is a record of our travels and experiances as we travel on our narrowboat The Maisibert. Saturday, 25 July 2015. We left Stowe Hill late on Thursday and moved to Nether Heyford because of the weather warnings. Yesterday we sat out the bad weather and moved on this afternoon to Yardley Gobion. We got through Blisworth Tunnel without meeting a boat also boats were coming up Stoke Bruerne locks which made the passage down the locks easier. Saturday, July 25, 2015. NB PISTON BROKE: November 2012
http://nbpistonbroke.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Piston Broke is now sold. PISTON BROKE IS NOW SOLD. Wednesday, 21 November 2012. Oh dear……. I went down to Kent for the weekend and came back with a lovely cough and cold. Something I could really do without, Paul wasn't the happiest of bunnies either as he hadn't seen a soul all the time I was away so was feeling decidedly lonely, for once he was glad to see me back. Links to this post. Monday, 12 November 2012. Well the washing machine arrived and was installed no damage to either the boat or the machi...

http://nbpistonbroke.blogspot.com/2013/05/will-he-wont-he-shall-he-shant-he.html
Piston Broke is now sold. PISTON BROKE IS NOW SOLD. Sunday, 5 May 2013. Will he, wont he, shall he, shant he? Well in the end he did! Paint that is. After yesterday when it rained and the paint brush was left in situ today dawned cloudy and Paul was convinced that if he started to paint it would rain. Well that was the wrong assumption because by 2pm the sun was shining. The sides were taped up the paint pot opened and off he went. This is the finished article. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

NB PISTON BROKE: April 2013
http://nbpistonbroke.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Piston Broke is now sold. PISTON BROKE IS NOW SOLD. Wednesday, 24 April 2013. The other day we were sat watching the tele when out of the corner of my eye I spotted this great big spider crawling over Crystals leg, it was a good job she was asleep as it wouldn't have survived to see another day. Big bugger wasn't it, I don't like stow always like this at least Paul rescued it and I am sure it is better off on the tow path rather than in the boat. Links to this post. Saturday, 20 April 2013. Where we are...

NB PISTON BROKE: Phew!!!!!
http://nbpistonbroke.blogspot.com/2013/05/phew.html
Piston Broke is now sold. PISTON BROKE IS NOW SOLD. Friday, 10 May 2013. To say that yesterday was a tad blowy would be an understatement. We had planned to go and turn round but that, of course never happened. Although there were quite a few boats that did move and they certainly didn't look as if they were enjoying the experience. This is how the canal looked here. More like water ski-ing weather than boating weather thank goodness it is a bit calmer today. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Tormentil narrowboat: April 2009
http://narrowboat-tormentil.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
This is the story of narrowboat Tormentil, how we came to buy her and the adventures we hope to have. Sunday, 5 April 2009. We have a week to get from Sowerby to Burnley, Lancashire (on the Leeds and Liverpool) via the Calder and Hebble, and the Aire and Calder, and have been assured it is possible. As I have said before this canal pace of life is a little difficult to get my head around. Sowerby to Burnley is 40 minutes by car! Labels: Leeds and Liverpool canal. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Tormentil narrowboat: June 2009
http://narrowboat-tormentil.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
This is the story of narrowboat Tormentil, how we came to buy her and the adventures we hope to have. Friday, 5 June 2009. The weather was hot and got hotter during the week up to 32C. This was good aclimatisation for my return last weekend when we had such great weather in England. I had half a day to sightsee and managed to get to the Jardin Majorelle which was a lovely quiet rest from the heat. These gardens mix architecture, colour and plants and I got some good pictures. Berbers riding and shooting.

Tormentil narrowboat: The Great Adventure day 7, Wednesday April 15th, To Skipton and beyond
http://narrowboat-tormentil.blogspot.com/2009/05/great-adventure-day-7-wednesday-april.html
This is the story of narrowboat Tormentil, how we came to buy her and the adventures we hope to have. Monday, 18 May 2009. The Great Adventure day 7, Wednesday April 15th, To Skipton and beyond. On the way to Skipton, they were probably responsible for all this as we hired a boat from them all those years ago and still remember enjoying the trip (apart from the swing bridges which I remember me doing last time and they were still just as much a pain). Moored up, I thought that was great. There is a steep...
