My name is Amber and I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes about 3 years ago on my 28th birthday (some light math for you). All I wanted was a puppy, but my parents gave me the diabeetus instead. Just kidding, I am almost certain I contracted diabetes from my trip to Costa Rica the week before, but I hate to blame anything other than "My Useless Organ"!
