Oopsa little glimpse into how well i keep some of my short term goals (you can ask me about not eating sweets and working out every day as well;-). I really am working on a lovely christmas post, with old school pictures of me included, but it's not quite ready yet. But i do have some thoughts today. 1-grateful for numerous aspects of my life during this thanksgiving season. many reminders of how i have truly been given much. Links to this post.

Thursday, March 5, 2009. My heart leaps up when I behold. A rainbow in the sky:. So was it when my life began;. So is it now I am a man;. Driving to school: an ordinary wednesday. Suddenly, i gasped. " oh! I said out loud with the surprising innocence of a little girl. a rainbow? Was i that excited about it? That i was sure had been buried for so long, it was forgotten. What wonders would i be able to experience? Oh how mysterious and lovely they were! We actually drove through it! Could it be true?

The faint light trickles in through my dainty, somewhat useless curtains. i live in this beautiful cottage-like home in palo alto, with an enchanting garden reminiscent of something out of anne of green gables. Out my window i have a lovely view of large trees and a moss covered garden. I stir from my (rare) deep sleep and pry open my heavy eyes. 8 am. saturday morning. is that the sun i see? Sunday, May 31, 2009. I'll admit it- the night before the first wedding shower, I couldn't sleep a wink! Debbie Barber and Barbara Ball threw such an incredible tea party. It was so girly and perfect! We had scones and punch and Dolores Fritzsche's chocolate dipped strawberries, and no party is complete without a "panty line! Friday, September 25, 2009. We packed in another fun weekend trip- this time to Colorado Springs and Denver! We started down in Colorado Springs visiting Amanda's grandparents and Uncle Mark, Aunt Jan, and cousin Sophie. We visited the Olympic Training Center during the day before heading to Sophie's volleyball game and then out to dinner. It was fast, but we fit lots of fun in! That night we drove up to Denver to meet up with Jason's buddies. Mike and Diane Mirowski were great hosts for everyone!

Friday, July 24, 2009. Our pre wedding house hunting did not prove as promising as we had hoped, though it did provide a lesson in the frustration of short sales. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise because just a month after our wedding, we found the perfect place. We are so excited about it! Monday, March 8, 2010. Time with the Torosians. As Marc and Sara prepared for their deployment to Jordan, they traveled cross country to visit family and friends. We were thrilled to make the list, and we had a great time visiting with them! It rained all weekend, which was a bummer, but we managed to barbecue and fit in lots of Guitar Hero time. Thursday, February 4, 2010. Is there any place lovlier than Hawaii? Good luck convincing me. We had an incredible time visiting Oahu and Maui, and visiting with our good friend Scott Evens. We flew into Oahu on a Saturday, and we were able to spend the weekend at Scott's place in Waikiki. Saturday we spent time out in the sun and headed out to a fabulous dinner at Duke's (which we loved so much that we ended up eating there 2 more times! Our arrival in Honolulu. Big guns on the Might Mo!
