In the sleepy bedroom of my mind, I like to knit. My Halloween Costume - An Insecure Girl. Back home, it’s always back home , I used to do it up right. Sure, I never had a concrete plan for my costume. I rushed around just like everyone else, putting my costume together at the last minute. I always came up with something, whether it was good or not. The last costume I wore for Halloween back home was Rosie the Riveter the You can do it! Tell me when I talked so comfortably with a near stranger with that ...

In the sleepy bedroom of my mind, I like to knit. Chia Hippo Update - Jan 24-28th. So, it's been a few days. Let's see what's happening in the world of my Chia Hippo. He's starting to look a little more hairier! Thank goodness, I was beginning to worry about him. He is finally comfortable with his new hairstyle. Note, the subtle smile on his Chia Hippo face. Unfortunately, he is still suffering from a wee bit of patchiness. Chia Hippo after his pilates class. He really broke a sweat this time. It explain...

In the sleepy bedroom of my mind, I like to knit. Laugh of the Day. So, I was at the grocery store the other day waiting in line. I was so tired that day. The kind of tired in which you can get into a giggle about absolutely anything. The girl at the counter asked me, in French, if I wanted to donate two dollars for a heart and stroke charity. I was surprised at myself! I actually understood what she said! I was rather proud of myself. Posted by Me at 7:11 PM. For the first time in a while, I've had an a...

In the sleepy bedroom of my mind, I like to knit. Words on a Winter's Night. The lamp is burnin' low upon my table top. The snow is softly falling. The air is still within the silence of my room. I hear your voice softly calling. If I could only have you near. To breathe a sigh or two. I would be happy just to hold the hands I love. Upon this winter night with you. The smoke is rising in the shadows overhead. My glass is almost empty. I read again between the lines upon each page. That you were lonely too.

In the sleepy bedroom of my mind, I like to knit. Thoughts Inspired by Hairspray Metal. I catch myself on Friday nights, being domestic and listening to music from my good old days. Oh yes, she certainly was a fast machine who kept her motor clean. I just may getting old, but I say the last time was back in the fluffy metal days. School's out forever, you say? Why, yes, it certainly is! Oh, I love rock n' roll too! What happened to the power ballad? I scream for vengence! We're right - yeah! I'd become d...

In the sleepy bedroom of my mind, I like to knit. As some jerk once said, when it rains it pours. This should be the motto of our current apartment that we will soon be moving out of. Thank goodness for that, since our apartment has been equivalent to a house made out of cards. Piece by piece, it is truly falling apart. I hear a noise. Who finds this funny? Eventually, the landlord and his minion, the "handyman", arrived at the scene. I wanted to punch the landlord in the neck because he walked up th...

In the sleepy bedroom of my mind, I like to knit. The Anxiety of Flying. Forgive me for my absence. I've been busy being lazy with my love, since he came back from tour. It's been nice. There is this incredible dreaminess that surrounds us. A brilliant honeymoon vibe that only comes with time between you and your lover. It's been pouncetastic! The only sad thing is is that I am the one leaving in a few days and for a few weeks. I hate leaving, even if it's only temporary. I'm just a tense ball of guilt!

In the sleepy bedroom of my mind, I like to knit. The Dental Saga - Second Opinion. Dr Willie seems like a real hands-on guy. You know how some dentists are very careful with how they touch your face when they are doing work on your teeth? Well, he's not. I mean, he's careful with the teeth but he was hands-on all over my face (that sounds dirty). I'm surprised my drawn-on eyebrows aren't all over my forehead! The 2nd opinion verdict? Posted by Me at 10:42 AM. Months after moving to Montreal, I have terr...

In the sleepy bedroom of my mind, I like to knit. Reflections On My Thirtieth Birthday. I'm thirty and there's no turning back - I feel like I should do some sort of celebratory high kick in the air while wearing scratchy polyester pantsuit like that skit on SNL. I'm fifty! Kicks high in the air, without tearing scratchy polyester pantsuit*. A little later in the evening, a couple of our friends stopped by. They went all out for my birthday and it did make me miss home a little less. Thank you! It was a ...

In the sleepy bedroom of my mind, I like to knit. The Race is On! I told myself no blogging until I get my shit together today. And finally, said shit is together. Here I am, at 11:42pm. It's a little later than I expected and I'm a little less full of piss and vinegar. Hopefully, I will entertain someone out there. You see, the race is on. Yes, they all want to be home. Yes, they all want to see their significant others. However, I am full-on PMS monster. The race is on, bitches! Shakes fists to heavens*.
