The weather was the best we've had in my 3-year tenure. Sunny and not much wind. The water was cold as ever. Despite near 40 degree weather there was LOTS of ice on the lake. My Life with Dogs. Things have gotten out of control. Wednesday, June 25, 2014. It always seems as though summer is well underway by the time the actual first day of summer rolls around on the calendar. After the particularly brutal winter that we survived, the warm weather and sunshine have been welcomed with open arms. Way back on a snowy and cold day in February, Swanny and I, along with 4 other couples bid on an auction item at a fundraiser for our local YMCA. And whiskey at Perry Oakes Brewery.

Today was the end of Little Dudes first year of preschool. He has so loved preschool. When I would drop him off he'd skip down the hall, happy and excited. When I would pick him up, he would run out with a smile on his face and jump into my arms. We snapped a quick photo with his teacher. I could feel his warm tears on my neck.
