Heidi Bowles-Ellis: Dark Fantasy Writer and Mosaic Artist. We pause in our house related chaos to maken zee update. A very very random update. We’ve finally stabilized out in the upper 50s, low 60s with spatterings of flirting with 70s. Love it! So the past couple of weeks have been almost entirely consumed with getting unpacked and decorating and purging stuff and breaking down boxes….BREATHES. And going to the studio when I can. But I’m happy. So very very happy! Switching gears here: I’m going t...

Heidi Bowles-Ellis: Dark Fantasy Writer and Mosaic Artist. Life Reboot, number….I’ve lost count now. Michigan Winter on the Wane. After weeks of sub-zero wind chills and cold air temps and snow snow snow….We’re finally stabilizing back up into the low 40s and 50s. So I haven’t post anything since my post- brain trauma write up. Time to catch up with all the craziness. The down side of perpetual sickness, even if it changes up the version, is that everything in your life kinda gets put on hold. Have o...

Heidi Bowles-Ellis: Dark Fantasy Writer and Mosaic Artist. After a few glitches & pitstops). Weather: Weirdly wet and cool June so far. Steady in the low 70s and overcast or rain alternating. But there’s an upside, as there always is. By this time next week, gods willing and the river don’t rise, I should FINALLY have a clean bill of health. Maybe that’s the hitch, right there. I want to make things. Now. Yet, I keep getting tangled in my own shoelaces. I think the answer is kind of self-evident there.

Tuesday Teaser #27 | The Family
https://thebloodseed.wordpress.com/2016/07/05/tuesday-teaser-27
History of the Blood Seed. Qui est in literis. Every Tuesday, I post a teaser for one of my current works in progress. I invite all of my writer buddies to join in! Post a link, image, quote, or excerpt related to or taken from your current WIP. State the name of the WIP. Do NOT explain yourself! Resist the urge to wax poetic. This is a hint, not an outline. I noticed. I thought it was just the population boom. There are more people now than there were then. More people, more dying, more. Fantasy Sources...

History of the Blood Seed. Character quotes: DEAD TO WRITES–Karen Vaughan. So let me get this straight. You bought the hemlock plant not knowing what it was really for, is that right? Then you bought a gift basket containing two things that Janine likes most, also correct? Murder. I might be a thief Sylvie, but I’m no killer! By jorthusbooks on August 4, 2016. Paul Collins Photography: On the horizon...
http://paulcollinsphotography.blogspot.com/2009/02/on-horizon.html
Sunday, February 15, 2009. I haven't updated my actual website, Paul Collins Photography. In a while due to an imminent redesign by the wonderful and amazingly talented Danny Tellers. I'm really excited as this will be far better than anything I could have ever done on my own. In the mean time, be sure to check out my street photography galleries. There (if you haven't already). It's a slice of time and space from San Francisco to New York, spanning 1989 to the present. Be sure to stop by regularly.

The Musings of an Aspiring Poet
The Musings of an Aspiring Poet. Because of our passive approach to living, the role of the wonderer is to inject life in our experiences. By life, I mean, construct verbal expressions, compose songs, and even paint pictures. In this, the larger society is reminded of its realities and empowered to form opinions then take actions that will yield the desired results. Wednesday, March 27, 2013. So, I propped myself early in the morning while having a bath. I recited my script all over and over again. The t...
The Musing Quill
Life, Quirks, Oddities, and Observations. View my complete profile. Friday, April 22, 2011. There is an unexplainable wonderful feeling that accompanies a friend or loved one making time for you. We forever talk about the things we do regarding time - killing it, wasting it, needing it - but making it seems to be something both ever reached for and never done. Thanks to all those in my life who make time for me. Posted by Lissa Rhys. Tuesday, April 19, 2011. The OMW, One Minute Writer. Working as the Des...
Musings
Et cetera, et cetera.Haven for half-formed thoughts and misinformed ideas. Oh, and well-formed cynicism. 29 May, 2017. Words over sushi and blues. A friend took pity on my car-less condition and took me for dinner in Cambridge. We spoke a curiously adult mix of workplace talk, weekend wanderings and reminisces of graduate school derring-do. Perhaps this is what growing up does to people? Party, act like there is no tomorrow, and then not have another party for months.". The seagulls remind me always of R...

The Musing Reader
Plot to Plate (Recipes). Thursday, February 15, 2018. I Deserve a T-Shirt or Something. One of the popular types of t-shirts people like to wear are the ones that announce, "I Survived (fill in the blank)." Well, I ought to get a t-shirt that says, "I Survived Absalom, Absalom. In my research to prep for this post, I discovered that Absalom, Absalom. Holds the world record for the "longest sentence in literature," at 1,288 words. Maybe I do deserve that t-shirt. Musing Reflections
Reflecting on my new life as a first year teacher. Sunday, December 05, 2004. Whoa - how did it get to be December? The lack of posts does not mean I have not been reflecting - I come home every day and worry about the day I just left. And then I start homework for the graduate courses I'm taking to become a "real" teacher. I think I'm getting enough sleep - yet on the weekends, I have to force myself to do chores and not just gaze at the TV in a guilty, near-sleep state. Posted by Jen at 6:20 PM. I cann...
