Staying fabulous amid the madness. December 18, 2014. Do what, you ask? Direct latch the baby? Nah, it’s less socially acceptable than breastfeeding in public — although the end result is the same — I express my breastmilk in public. There’s no baby in sight, just me, my nursing poncho and my nifty pump. While nursing mummies are common sight these days, publicly expressing mummies are a sighting. I have not met anyone like me. Invest in a nursing poncho that covers you all round and from shoulder to hips.
