The Natural Disaster: Bringing Home a Baby
http://jimandkensley.blogspot.com/2015/07/bringing-home-baby.html
Monday, July 27, 2015. Bringing Home a Baby. I’m so sad I haven’t written this post sooner. This day will be burned into my memory forever, but I sure wish I wrote things down from this day as they were happening! I wanted to get to the NICU early On Sunday because I had big plans of asking Dr. McQueen if we could take our baby home. When we walked in they were doing rounds and we hadn’t missed it! There were pretty much instant tears! We were going home! We weren’t exactly ready yet either! Of course we...

The Natural Disaster: Life in the NICU
http://jimandkensley.blogspot.com/2015/07/life-in-nicu.html
Saturday, July 25, 2015. Life in the NICU. I am so behind on blogging it makes me sick! After the jump there are no less than 100 pictures. May 20 Day 0 (the day she was born). May 21 Day 1. This morning will be burned into my brain forever. Every morning around 11 the Dr. does his rounds. She was on the vapotherm machine that assist’s with breathing. They use it instead of a cpap machine. Her oxygen was (maybe? May 22 Day 2. It always grossed me out, but it was really good to know! May 23 Day 3. It was ...

The Natural Disaster: Rowe’s Birth Story
http://jimandkensley.blogspot.com/2015/05/rowes-birth-story.html
Friday, May 22, 2015. Rowe’s Birth Story. Sure enough, about 2 hours later I was able to get off the monitor after falling asleep and being woken up 10 million times and she finally took me off. She never really gave me a report on how she did, but I just assumed her heart rate stayed around 135 where it always had. After all of that I really was awake for the day! Amanda and Cooper came to see me, and Nixon and my mom came down as well. To say that this was the highlight would be an understatement!

The Natural Disaster: December 2013
http://jimandkensley.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 3, 2013. I think we can all remember when I was so excited to hit that 9 month mark in pregnancy, but the same can’t be said now. STOP GROWING! Nine months has been really fun! Just a few days after Nixon turned 9 months we were lucky enough to have my parents come to town! We had so much fun while they were here! We did everything you can imagine! Nixon got to meet one of his cousins for the first time! It was time to upgrade. We also started him on finger foods, and he LOVES them!

The Natural Disaster: February 2015
http://jimandkensley.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 25, 2015. So the rumors are true, Nixon’s going to be a big brother July 9! He has no idea what is going on of course, but we are. I'm 21 weeks tomorrow (Feb. 26) and there has been so much going on with this baby, I don’t know where to begin! We found out I was pregnant back in October and it wasn’t long after that the morning sickness started setting in. When we were in New York (! That however, has subsided and I could probably live exclusively off of air heads. Now we are kind of ...

The Natural Disaster: 31.2
http://jimandkensley.blogspot.com/2015/05/312.html
Saturday, May 9, 2015. Jim was able to pick my mom up from the airport shortly after the second blood clot and they spent the rest of the night at home with Nixon. I was actually able to get some sleep that night because I didn’t have to be hooked up to the monitors all night! Nothing makes me happier than hearing Nixon coming down the hall “baba? The big question is how long will I be pregnant? So thank you all! I just wanted to send my love and prayers from Utah! You are so strong and such a cute mom!

The Natural Disaster: August 2014
http://jimandkensley.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 13, 2014. May and June Catch Up. So May was a pretty important month, Nixon FINALLY started walking! He took probably 10 steps two different times while we were in Utah in April, but never tried again. Then after lots of moral support he started getting more confident and just took off! We also lived at the park! When the weather wasn’t too hot us moms would plant our butts in the shade and the babies (and dogs) would run (or crawl) like wild men! Preston also turned 4 in May! Buuuuuuut...
