shutter therapy: August 2007

Climbing Photos for Dan. Dan from Dan's Blah Blah Blog. Asked to see some climbing photos, so here they are. It was kind of hard to find any good photos because I'm the photographer in the family and on any of the more impressive climbs we're too busy paying attention to safety issues to be snapping photos (which is as it should be; we're nothing if not safety conscious. So, for what it's worth, pics of me climbing. I was ice bouldering with a buddy. I loooooove. I'm up there. Just follow the rope.

If you're coming here for the first time, I regret to say that I've pulled all of my posts for a while. I apologize that I have nothing to show right now. I'm at a crossroads. Perhaps I'll put them back sometime, but I've made no decision yet. Thanks for your visit and also for your understanding. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. shutter therapy: More Nudes
http://velvetsphotoplay.blogspot.com/2007/11/more-nudes.html
I've wanted to shoot nudes for ages, but have been finding that it's not always easy to get people to sit for you, even with all their clothes on. Still, this is a start. Labels: black and white. I love black and white shots, and those nudes are just spectacular. November 19, 2007 at 12:33 AM. The photographs are as nice as the body is. November 20, 2007 at 5:16 AM. Beautiful photos. So, are you the photographer or, uh, the model? November 23, 2007 at 5:24 PM. December 1, 2007 at 8:11 PM.

This is what it is. Stuff from my life. Monday, June 22, 2009. The performance review I won't be writing. I wish that you could show a shred of initiative. Initiative does not mean stonewalling or ignoring processes because you don't like them. Smile Your face won't crack. There is no shame in asking questions. Ask as many as you need to until you are satisfied. Please for the love of God, ask the questions. The blank looks you give me drive me nuts. Conversation is a 2 way street. Links to this post.

This is what it is. Stuff from my life. Friday, October 28, 2011. 12 weeks and all is well. One very healthy baby growing inside me. No chromosomal abnormalities showing in any of the tests, and my risk of Downs Syndrome is 1:1210 - much better than my age risk of 1:128. We are both in awe of this life forming. We are so very lucky to have had a successful IVF cycle, and so quickly. We told Grandpa the other night. He said "Well done". Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). For Love of Home.

This is what it is. Stuff from my life. Tuesday, June 07, 2011. Today I've had 2 injections, one blood test, one internal ultrasound, and a bonding session with a speculum. Oddly enough, it was even less fun than it sounds. All of this is working towards a Petri dish next week, which will hopefully be the beginning of our family. Samples from both of us, and the doctor using a needle to inject them together. At the same time I wonder, how does it feel to be that doctor? Links to this post. Title not insp...

This is what it is. Stuff from my life. Saturday, January 02, 2010. Admittedly, a very belated one. I've been spending some time on Facebook tonight, and I noticed that so many people have been commenting on what a terrible 2009 it was, and how they hoped it would be better in 2010. I didn't notice. I had a pretty good 2009, and so did most of my family. Of contributors, and photos. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). This is what it is. Stuff from my life. Friday, September 02, 2011. We had my blood test today. Then we tried to keep occupied. Husband went to the gym and did some cooking, I ran errands and had a massage. My phone rang while I was in the supermarket. We've got a long way to go, but it's a beginning. Oh, that´s wonderful news! I´m holding all my thumbs and wishing you all the best! Look after yourself. Let us know sometime how its all going. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Happy Memorial Day Weekend! Links to this post. Scenes from the Back Yard. More shots with my Holga, this time scenes from our back yard. Hand-me down from a neighbor whose daughter is now in college. Grass just starting to green up). Links to this post. I Heart My Holga. I shot these photos in the past few weeks with my Holga.
