Sharing the blessed and beautiful life of our daughter with anencephaly. Wednesday, January 5, 2011. It's been 3 months since Elspeth passed away. Yes, it's been 3 months that she has been gone. I enjoyed 6 weeks of "maternity" leave, Thanksgiving, a Christmas candle lighting ceremony at the hospital to remember babies lost, Christmas with family and finally a fresh start with the new year. I'm especially looking forward to the new year and the possibilities that it brings. I love you Elspeth.

I got to be on-call for work and didn't end up going in at all. I slept in, cleaned house, watched old episodes of Glee from Netflix, skyped the family and got a delicious cupcake from a local bakery from a friend. Pretty much my definition of a perfect day. When Ryan and I went to see the people at Alexandra's House they gave us a folder of information with services people in KC were donating to parents of children who need peri-natal hospice. While William LOVED just being in the ocean and jumping waves with daddy (I'll have to post some of those photos later) there was no way he was going to be outdone by Eraleigh on the boogie boards so when he saw a chance he went for it and loved every minute. Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Quiet Moments in October. October came and went far too fast this year as it always does. With soccer, fall fests, Richard working at the Kings Dominion haunt every weekend, two trunk or treats and many other things it was a very busy month. I think that just made us even more grateful for quiet moments like these. William continues to love Bella and the feeling is definitely mutual. The two are truly best buds. Of course sometimes the kids enjoy creating their own fashions.
