Center for Hebrew Christian Studies. Wednesday, July 14, 2010. The Best Bible Version Part 1. Many times I am asked, "Which version of the Bible is the most accurate for those of us who cannot read Greek and Hebrew? So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. (ESV). So there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. (NASB). So then, a sabbath rest still remains for the people of God. (NRSV). So there remains a Sabbath-keeping for the people of Elohim. (The Scriptures). This article b...

Center for Hebrew Christian Studies: The Catholic Church Rules Yahweh Inappropriate For Liturgical Use
http://bjmi.blogspot.com/2011/03/catholic-church-rules-yahweh.html
Center for Hebrew Christian Studies. Monday, March 7, 2011. The Catholic Church Rules Yahweh Inappropriate For Liturgical Use. The following is a news article from the Vatican. The true name of Hashem will not be allowed in their services. The article speaks for itself. Latin becomes more important than Hebrew. This is a furtherance of the Catholic Churches' attempt to separate its faith from the Hebraic roots of Yeshua's faith. It began in the 4TH Century and continues today. In place of the Name of God...

A Daily Word: Are You Holy (set part)?
http://pastorblj.blogspot.com/2013/04/are-you-holy-set-part.html
Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Are You Holy (set part)? JC Ryle wrote the following in his work entitled Holiness:. Holiness, without which no man shall see the Yahweh" (Hebrews 12:14). The text which heads this page opens up a subject of deep importance. That subject is practical holiness. It suggests a question which demands the attention of all professing Christians: are we holy, i.e set apart? Shall we see the Yahweh? Friend, I ask the same question today: are you holy? Thursday, January 17, 2013. New or Renewed Part 3. The Greek word chosen in the LLX in Jeremiah 31:31 for "new" is a very special word. There are different words in Greek for "new." There is a different Greek word for newness, renew, to make new, renewal, to renew, new in time, and new in nature. The word in verse 31 is kainos. What do we conclude? If we are talking Hebrew, I think "renew" is more appropriate. If we are talking in Greek, kainos. Wednesday, January 16, 2013. New or Renewed Covenant Part 2.

A Daily Word: Repost: Ham on Easter
http://pastorblj.blogspot.com/2013/03/repost-ham-on-easter.html
Thursday, March 28, 2013. Repost: Ham on Easter. This was too perfect not to post. Our local newspaper, The Virginian-Pilot had the following in the paper some time ago:. It's Easter Sunday. But before you dig into that succulent pig (remember Yeshua didn't eat pork added by BLJ), did you ever stop to wonder if more folks eat ham on Easter or Christmas (the answer is Christmas added by BLJ)? Does that sound like Lent? It is a real shame that a secular newspaper has more truth than most churches.

Center for Hebrew Christian Studies: The Truth About Lent
http://bjmi.blogspot.com/2011/03/truth-about-lent.html
Center for Hebrew Christian Studies. Tuesday, March 8, 2011. The Truth About Lent. Lent was not practiced by Yeshua, i.e. Jesus, Kefa, i.e. Peter, Sha'ul, i.e. Paul, or any of the early disciples. It was created by the Catholic Church some hundreds of years after the resurrection of Yeshua. Why would you want to practice a ritual not created by the One you claim to follow?
