Nomadic Notebook: Home
http://nomadicnotebook-patty.blogspot.com/2015/07/home.html
My love affair with life, travel and the creative path. Saturday, July 25, 2015. There was a longing in my soul. A cry for the darker places. A seed deeply buried. Shyly toying with the light. My ears could not hear. Now the creatures of the sea. And the birds of the air. Have merged their humble energies. Hauntingly bestow their blessings. And the balm of the bay. Pervades every waking moment. Indeed i am home. July 25, 2015 at 12:43 PM. August 18, 2015 at 8:26 PM. September 27, 2015 at 10:34 AM.

Nomadic Notebook: Togetherness
http://nomadicnotebook-patty.blogspot.com/2014/09/togetherness.html
My love affair with life, travel and the creative path. Monday, September 15, 2014. I just spent a week hanging out in one of my favorite places on earth (cambria, ca). So much raw beauty, direct access to big sur and hearst castle, hiking trails, tidepools and beaches, cool inviting temperatures and diverse and interesting places to see and things to do. What could be better? Well, how about sharing the time with some people near and dear to me that i don’t get to see very often? How cool is that? We ar...

Nomadic Notebook: Upcoming Investigation
http://nomadicnotebook-patty.blogspot.com/2014/10/upcoming-investigation.html
My love affair with life, travel and the creative path. Sunday, October 19, 2014. It’s been going on for a while…. our love affair with the pacific northwest. Every summer we seem to be drawn there and continue to be completely smitten with the wildness of it, the rugged beauty, the dog-friendliness, the green, cool, misty climate and the myriad of intriguing places to explore. There’s been talk of making it more permanent…. especially after the dry, scorching summer we have had. And we have friends.

My love affair with life, travel and the creative path. Sunday, July 27, 2014. Time Spent in Amazement. When it’s over, I want to say: all my life. I was a bride married to amazement. There are many different reasons why we seek time away from our normal day-to-day lives. Rest and relaxation, excitement and adventure, curiosity about new places…. just to name a few. For me personally, the most important element of a successful trip is the amount of time spent in amazement. Links to this post. Kathryn han...

Nomadic Notebook: November 2014
http://nomadicnotebook-patty.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
My love affair with life, travel and the creative path. Thursday, November 20, 2014. Beware the addicting lure. Of the comfort zone. Its sly seductive tentacles. Reaching, grabbing, wrapping,. Encasing and imprisoning…. One day you awaken. And find yourself sinking. Stuck in the quicksand. That is the familiar. Ignoring the beat of the drum within. Oblivious to the trailing ties. Of the floating dreams. You didn’t even know were cut loose. I wrote this before we left on our trip to washington. Simple tem...
