Some thoughts and questions. Thursday, July 30, 2015. Finding God in All Things. I decided to try blogging about the podcast I heard on "On Being" with James Martin. When I first listened to it, I couldn't stop thinking about it. I saved it to my phone and have "re-listened" to it several times. Today when I listened again, I realized how much I'd forgotten, and that's when I thought I'd try writing about it. Anyway, here goes. What do you want? Some thoughts and questions. Saturday, August 1, 2015. Thoughts on quotes from " Finding God in All Things. An episode on "On Being.". The most fundamental vocation is to become the person whom God created.Your deepest desires, the things that you're drawn to, the person you're called to be, are really God's desires for you.". Fr Martin uses a married couple as an example when talking about desire. He talks about how a married couple started out desiring one another, they were called to one another.

A fantastic trip to Alaska, August, 2011. Monday, August 8, 2011. Our day cruise to the glacier was awesome. It was gray and gloomy when we left, and it did rain a couple times while we were out but we still saw a lot. We saw lots of wildlife and scenery from the boat. It was great. A fantastic trip to Alaska, August, 2011. Wednesday, August 3, 2011. I sat in the cafe and uploaded photos and did my blog. Once Randy got home we went to the cafe again and had their homemade berry crisp with ice cream. Delicious. Then we drove into the park again and stopped at some gift stores. A fantastic trip to Alaska, August, 2011. Thursday, August 11, 2011. Beautiful Kenai Peninsula and Homer. Yesterday we left cold, rainy Valdez and took a ferry to the Kenai Peninsula. On the ferry, the weather was beautiful and it's stayed that way since. It's been sunny and gorgeous for the past two days. The ferry was fun. It was luxurious, with comfy seating, pretty art on the walls, a cafe and tons of windows for viewing the scenery. August 11, 2011 at 11:00 PM. They would make a great screen saver!

Mavis Morgan Church Textiles. I am an Embroiderer, Designer and Textile Artist: an art graduate, I have worked in Fine Art and Textiles as well as teaching Art and Textiles for over 30 years. My work is inspired by a passion for tactile fabrics and yarns combined with a love of the countryside and natural forms. I use hand dyed silks in abstract effects, appliquéed and machine embroidered with additional couched yarns, quilting and beadwork.
