AMSI, AustMS and ANZIAM run joint workshop funding rounds to provide a streamlined process that only requires one application to request funding from two organisations. There are three types of funding available depending on the size of your event. Small Event funding is available up to $8,000 for events with a budget of less than $10,000. AMSI supports eminent international researchers through the scientific program and its co-sponsorship of the Australian Mathematical Society’s biennial Mahler Lecturer program. 2015 Mahler Lecturer: Professor Manjul Bhargava. In 2009 AMSI and AustMS partnered with the Clay Mathematical Institute, to combine the Mahler Lectures and the Clay Lectures into the Clay Mahler Lecture Tour. These courses are usually run outside general teaching weeks, in a short but intense period of a couple of weeks. The specialist subject matter might be of interest to students as well as academics.
