Mary's Meals in Uganda. Father John and little James. March 10, 2010. As well as visiting the schools that benefit from Mary’s Meals, we have been spending time with the orphans who live at Father John’s mission, something that gives us a different view of what it is like to grow up in Kampala. We will head to the Secondary School (BCK) on Thursday. Some of the pupils here are returning students at the ages of even 18 and above as their education and lives were interrupted due to conflict. My Mary’s Meals fundraising effort began in Nov. 2010. My initial goal, which I met on December 31, 2010, was to raise $11000 to build a kitchen to feed hungry school children.
