Mar 7, 2015 Beaches. The other day I had an hour and a half wait for Tom at Kauai Music and Sound to come in to the store. He was the only one who could install my strap peg on my new Kamaka. At first I was a little bummed that I got there too early, but then, I thought, gee, I can go for a walk along the beach. And so I did and took a few photos of the shoreline from the Kapaa beach walk. Lots of walkers and bikers, although it was a very cool, cloudy morning so it wasn’t very crowded. Mar 6, 2015 Kauai.

Discovery Park Walk on Memorial Day. May 26, 2015 Lightroom. For the past couple of weeks I’ve been walking the Discovery Park loop. It’s less than a 5 minute drive from my house, a wonderful park to live close to. The loop is 2.8 miles, so it’s a good daily walk. Apr 23, 2015 Architecture. After being in the mostly cold, lingering winter in the Northeast for a month, coming home to Seattle brought color back into my life. Backyard birds and flowers. Apr 27, 2015 Backyard. Our rhododendrons are in full bloom right now, looking fabulous. Today is a warm, sunny, summer-like day. The picture of the bird was taken quickly with my long lens. I can hardly believe that the bird was still there splashing around once I changed lenses and snuck quietly onto the deck above the pond to snap the photo. Fenwick, Old Saybrook Photos. Mar 20, 2015 Beaches. I’m back in Connecticut again. Yesterday morning my sister, Nancy, and I went for a drive to Saybrook and visited our old neighborhood, Fenwood. Our house looks exactly the same, same color paint and all. It was mid-morning and quite bright, but we have few chances to get out, so I did what I could. Lightroom sure helped! Steller’s jay bathing in my pond. May 30, 2015 Backyard. We have many birds come to bathe themselves in our pond, but my favorite is the Steller’s jay. It’s a big bird with lively blue color and it makes a lot of noise, although this one was fairly quiet on this day. Thanks to the filter, which I wasn’t even registering at the time, I had to crank up the ISO and the pictures came out a funny yellow green. This was at about 6:00 PM.
