The Walters' Whereabouts: Franken-Storm-Ageddon
http://thewalterswhereabouts.blogspot.com/2012/10/franken-storm-ageddon.html
Monday, October 29, 2012. Whoever came up with the name Frankenstorm deserves a raise. I have no idea. Except that it will start with cinnamon rolls. It’s another bonus day and I actually don’t have anything on my ‘To Do’ list. Ok ok I may have one or two tiiiiny things. But the good news is it also happens to coincide with Nick’s scheduled day off so we will be enjoying whatever we decide to do together. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Friday, November 30, 2012. But Twins Don't Run in My Family". If you have ever wondered how the conversation would go (or what brainless things you might say) when the news was told to expecting and completely clueless parents that they were having twins, well, here you go:. Dr: Ok. Ok. (turning the monitor towards us). So, here you can see…. Nick: Wait…is that. Dr: Here you can see the first baby…. Me: Uh….First baby? Dr: And here you can see the second baby…. Me: But twins don’t run in my family! Nick ...

Wednesday, April 25, 2012. For as long as I can remember I’ve hated cantaloupe. I hated the smell, the taste, the scratchy outside rind and I especially hated when it tainted the rest of the delicious items in my fruit salad. That is, until last summer. And headed out. Fast forward about three hours when we drug ourselves through the front door. As we stretched my aunt cut up a cantaloupe, brewed me a fantastic cup of tea and started making us banana pancakes from scratch. Sunday, April 22, 2012. About h...

Tuesday, December 20, 2011. Plenty to Be Thankful For. As our year draws to a close, I’ve spent some time looking back over the past 12 months wondering how it went by so quickly. I remember adults telling me when I was younger that years fly by faster as you age. Well, a truer statement has never been said. But thinking about this year in particular seems we couldn’t fit more in much more to be thankful for. Here is our year in review:. 8226;Nick received a well deserved promotion in November. Wednesday, February 13, 2013. Our Two Feisty Fellas. The boys aren't even here yet and we can already tell they have some very, very strong personalities. There have been many a doctor appointment where it’s exclaimed “My you sure do have some movers! What was that crash? 8221; followed by some mischievous giggles. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Walters' Whereabouts: May 2012
http://thewalterswhereabouts.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 5, 2012. When I first moved to DC my sister Rachel and I shared the cutest apartment in a fantastic neighborhood called Fairlington. Every weekend without fail we had a routine of bran muffins with fruit on one day and cinnamon rolls with fruit on the other. We also threw in the occasional Dunkin Donuts. The first time my sister said she was making these muffins I was not all that excited. It's bran. For crying out loud! Aren't those for people, you know, our grandparents' age? Random Thoug...

Inside our Home (& out of my mind). Since I'm bad at phone calls and emails, here's a decent way to figure out what on earth we're up to. Tuesday, December 20, 2011. Janice and Nick came by to give Jackson their Christmas gifts, and he thanked them by showing off his latest trick. Literally, I have no idea how this happened. A week ago he was taking one or two steps at a time and this week he's tooling around so fast it's like he's been doing this for months. Slow down, child! Sunday, December 18, 2011.

Inside our Home (& out of my mind). Since I'm bad at phone calls and emails, here's a decent way to figure out what on earth we're up to. Tuesday, June 5, 2012. Does anybody out there know how to talk toddler? Because this seems very important. Monday, June 4, 2012. The weather this past weekend was perfect, and we were looking for things to do outside. Since it's free to get into the National Zoo, we headed over one morning to spend a few hours looking at the animals before lunch and naptime.

Give me an excuse, or no excuse at all, and I will be more than happy to whip up a tasty treat. With one exception. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I am here today to profess my complete and utter distain for an American favorite: the chocolate chip cookie. Why do these have to be so difficult? Inside our Home (& out of my mind): Before and after
http://thedavisden.blogspot.com/2012/09/before-and-after.html
Inside our Home (& out of my mind). Since I'm bad at phone calls and emails, here's a decent way to figure out what on earth we're up to. Sunday, September 2, 2012. When we moved into our new house last fall, there were a number of things we loved. But there were lots of things that we didn't. First there was the retaining wall that was falling over on itself. And the dilapidated shed. And the bricks falling off the front steps. And - ugh - the seafoam green shutters. I don't like seafoam green. Gorgeous...
