Be The Change You Want To See. Wednesday, July 31, 2013. Over at I Love It All. Monica shared a Right Now post and it was a reminder of how much I like that kind of 'snapshot' into my here and now. Excited that we get to hang out with my family tomorrow, doing some quadding - happy that I'm actually posting on the blog again! On the to do list. Bake a batch of oatmeal coconut raisin cookies to take along. Raspberries with brown sugar and cream - just finished a dish of them! Thanks for the inspiration, M!

Monday, April 30, 2012. Mommy, I put the laundry in piles for you." Jack tosses a sock onto one of the piles, the living room now six towers of laundry. I smile. He crosses his arms. He wrestles a pile of jeans and darks back into the whicker laundry basket. I watch from the couch, babe curled in my arm nursing. I heard you and Daddy talking," he says, "and I thought, I can help. Then it's Wednesday. The table a-skitter with sandwich crumbs and dribbles of honey, Lucy lingers. 3042 How I try to explain p...

"If you just sit here," she points to the kitchen bench, "I'll hold the mirror.". I plop a stick of butter into the Kitchen-Aid mixer, watch Jack reef on his loose tooth. "Wow, that looks like it hurts." He bends if forward, back, forward. I turn to Jane, "He's tough; that's what he is.". He's a BOY," she adds, " that's. What he is.". Monday, June 25, 2012. Momma says we should give our first crops to other people, Lucy." Jack hitches the refrigerator door open. He reaches between a tub of yogurt and the pot of last night's stew to pluck up a tiny baggie of strawberries. "Now we can share it with Logan and Thad," he says. He unzips the little baggie and squeezes in two mostly ripe berries no bigger than thimbles. Lulie nods, "Ok.". Wait for me, Jack." She bobs out the back, a buoy on his heels. 3249 We dry a load of jeans in the dryer...

Wednesday, November 28, 2012. Mommy, I think I might know why this is such a rain storm," Lucy tweedles from the very back seat of the suburban. Like a burst bag of M and M's on hardwood floor, rain droplets pummel the windshield, wipers feeble antennae in the deluge. The clouds maybe are exploding," she trills. The squeak-squeak of wipers and the willowy curve of the road ahead, the children giddy, on we drive straightway to the ocean. Mom, do you know what number infinium is? 3807 Bowls of chocolates.
