Liam's IcyTea: More wordy fun!
http://liamicytea.blogspot.com/2012/01/more-wordy-fun.html
Viernes, 13 de enero de 2012. I've made this using a resource on the " teachers-direct website. It's an interactive wordsearch. For students to practice irregular past tenses. This is ideal for 5th and 6th year primary. I'll explain how I did it, the whole process takes less than 10 minutes! If you click on "make your own wordsearch" which opens a new page with a few easy steps. Give a name to your wordsearch. Then click preview which shows you how the wordsearch will look. Jueves, 12 de enero de 2012. And there was light! It's taken a while, but finally I've found the time to get this up and running. My first few posts will be just to practice writing and posting, but soon I hope to get some useful posts incorporating some of the ICT tools we've been looking at with Cristina that I will use with my students. http://liamicytea.blogspot.com/2012/01/splash.html
Domingo, 15 de enero de 2012. Here's a webquest that I made for use in school with my 4th year primary class. They loved it. We did the webquest over 3 classes in the school computer lab. The children were divided into groups of 3 students. Each student has a separate but complementary role and they have to use various resources on the " Riverquest. If you click the image, it will take you to the webquest. Feel free to use it with your classes. Enviar por correo electrónico. Etiquetas: 4th year primary.

Domingo, 29 de enero de 2012. Writing a school trip diary. This is a neat little exercise that I've done with my 5th year class to work on their speaking skills and then to follow on with their writing skills. We went on a school trip to visit 3 local sites linked to the St James Highway, Eunate, Viana and Los Arcos. The children had worksheets to complete as they visited the different sites and while we were there I took lots of photos. Enviar por correo electrónico. Etiquetas: 5th year primary. This is...

Liam's IcyTea: Listening to instructions
http://liamicytea.blogspot.com/2012/01/listening-to-instructions.html
Jueves, 26 de enero de 2012. This is an exercise I’ve prepared for my 5th year primary class. It’s a listening exercise using "voice-thread" to review directions. You can use a far simpler version without directions just using the numbers of the squares to work listening for numbers (2nd -4th year primary). Here as I’m working with 5th year, we’re making it more complex and they have to follow directions from the black reference square. Enviar por correo electrónico. Etiquetas: 5th year primary. Liam's IcyTea: Lifeboats and Icy Sea
http://liamicytea.blogspot.com/2012/01/lifeboats-and-icy-sea.html
Jueves, 12 de enero de 2012. Lifeboats and Icy Sea. Although this class actually works better in ESO, we can ask high level students to watch the video and then give their opinions about people who work at sea, using some of the words that appear in the word cloud. This is basically a speaking activity that allows the teacher to help with pronunciation. Enviar por correo electrónico. 14 de enero de 2012, 2:09. Wow this video is catchy and impressive!
