Enrica an Italian girl I work with got the keys for her apartment on the 6th floor of a 7 story building. So they take the lift up to what they thought was their floor only to find all the apartment numbers where too high so they head down to the 5th floor only to find they are all too low! Monday, October 09, 2006. A group of us decided to head away for the weekend to Sealine. A beautiful resort down the coast of Qatar. We only get one day off so we try to make the most of it! Alex and Kim organized 3 villas for 20 of us and straight from work we headed down. I think we were all surprised to see how amazing the villas were when we got there. Friday, February 02, 2007. Kensington of the North. The last couple of weeks have been markedly different from my time in Qatar! So now I am hanging out in Leeds for a few more days before setting off for Prague on Monday. Spending a lot of time (and money) preparing for my next trip. Got my passport back today with my Russian, Mongolian and Chinese visas which was a little exciting. Brought some thermals today and stocked up on cuppa soups and two-minute noodles at Asda. Tuesday, November 28, 2006. Uniform and Accreditation Centre. Vietnamese housecleaners working at the Village who walk only in single files and bow after each sentence. Indian, Nepalese and Sri Lankan construction workers who do not know a word of English including their name or the company they work for and have had all their identification confiscated from them by their supervisors. Orry is the mascot of the Asian Games and a few months ago, he visited Melbourne, went to the MCG, rode a tram and sampled some bacon. A lot of them even brought their sons along for a perve as well. Went to the Sepaktakraw, which is volleyball using your feet. That was amazing. The photos sort of give you an idea of how they play.
