Rhinos, Monkeys and a Hedgehog. Finding the Balance between wife, mother, and me. Thursday, December 18, 2008. 25 days - Goal #2. Yesterday it was official - we made it 25 days. Straight this year with no heat. No heater, no air conditioning, no space heater. Nada zip. zero. zilch. And free ball it in the indoor environment department. I was aiming for 1 month,. Journey of a Slacker Mom. Friday, December 12, 2008. A Much (MUCH) Overdue Update. These last few weeks have been a whirl, but I have missed my online buddies. Ok, here's the not so quick and dirty. Wednesday night Chloe burned her chin on a hot pizza pan and is alright but still has a mark. I'm slathering her with Mederma and praying it doesn't scar. I told her to sound it out and she got it (save for the extra t). Then spelled b-u-t-t. I laughed to myself but didn't say much. They have a new building with an indoor play area to rival any I've ever seen. The kids can climb and play while us adults take a break and chat. So Monkey1 and Monkey2 are actually ages 4 and 3 (and actually Isabella and Eloisa). They have intense love affairs that burn bright and hot, then die out all to quickly. A recent love of theirs, tossed to the side in favor of newer shinier things - was Dinosaurs. Or in the very least - get them to play with the darn things! Well - It worked! It's beautiful. Sniff....
