Tuesday, May 25, 2010. The Sugar Monster Strikes Again. To lay off the sugar. I've been improving on my intake- far less runs are being made to Cub Foods for their sinfully rich (and overly processed) and tasty brownies- but I'm not the best at it yet. Take for example, Starbucks new mini doughnuts. The double chocolate doughnuts are fantastic- and quite addictive. For the last few weeks, they have been my little "sugar rush" a few times a week. So, I need to stop allowing myself these "treats," right?

Before I start today's post, I just want to say that I make no claims that this blog is anything but self-indulgent ramblings of the issues with my health. So, bear with me as I get some things off my chest- I don't own a journal, never have, and this is closest I have to it. :). Full Blown. Meltdown. Something had to get out. Good friends Christina and Steven. Who just bought their first home. And Christina was explaining how. But when they are full grown either as a hedge, bush or up a fence, in my opinion there is nothing as cheerful! Maybe...

Tuesday, October 12, 2010. For the first time in a while, I am listening to my body. I mean. Listening. Not psycho-analyzing, not obsessing, not making assumptions, but really listening to what is happening with it. And I made a revelation. Doc had it figured out before I did. My stomach was not happy with me. I could not have been more wrong! First, I added in a digestive enzyme supplement. This was important to help break down the food. Then I decided I needed to add in something to heal the st...I rem...

Haha This little project as gotten me excited about building a house one day. I can only imagine all the detailed work and choices! Below is a picture of Matt working on some plumbing under the house. Followed by a picture of the shower with the "backer-board" up. It's what you stick the tile to. The picture after that is the beginning of the toilet room. And then another pic of the pre-tile shower. For rice cereal and my little rocket scientist! In a jogger. GO MEG! Mouth Watering Chicken salad. October 9, 2012. After a wonderful visit with a friend in NY, I had to recreate and post the delicious chicken salad she made for our lunch. My chicken salad has usually been very basic (a.k.a BORING: classic with mayo, celery and lemon juice) and I usually shredded the chicken finely. My friend’s chicken salad intrigued me with large chunks of chicken, apples, celery and fresh parsley. Continue reading →. My easy and basic mashed potatoes. October 6, 2012. October 5, 2012.
