I know it's hardly earth shattering as a concept (unlike volcanoes ;-) ), but this will be the first holiday that Darth Hobbit and I have been on together in all the fifteen years we've been together. Our son has been draughted in to care for the menagerie - which should provide blog material when he tries getting our lunatic dog to behave - and we have some plans for activities while we're away.

Monday, January 17, 2011. Here are some photos from the rain shortened camping trip. It has been very wet in SE Australia, we have been lucky to get just a small portion of the rains. All the best to Queenslanders. A sunbaking Dragon fly. Look at this spider he has the best colour and shape. He kept hiding behind the grass seeds. These last two are your classic spider shapes. Monday, December 06, 2010. At last a hot/dry day and we headed to the beach. It is only a bay side beach so no big breakers, still refreshing. For some it is a matter of use what you have, this man actually has a couple of fishing rods attached to this small inflatable. If you are swimming remember to swim between the flags. Tales from the concrete jungle. Saturday, January 30, 2010. I have been meaning to post something witty and enjoyable for others to read. Unfortunately I find myself (admittedly in a state of inebriation) posting a rant. I'm pee'd off with why the dustmen didn't collect rubbish when it snowed just slightly, and then left it so long thatthe crap built up to monumental crap heaps. I can't understand why there is inquiry into inquiry about stuff (mostly the Iraq thing) . I'm pissed off with it all!
