Week ten activities | Mmpat's Blog
https://mmpat.wordpress.com/2009/08/14/week-ten-activities
Just another WordPress.com weblog. August 14, 2009 – 11:35. It could be worth having another go and trying to get anyone that wants to (possibly using 5 minutes during the wrap-up session? Overall virtual worlds seem to have the broadest and biggest range of possibilities (work/academic/social) out of all of the things we’ve been introduced to so far. There was something recently about how an avatar of a real life person could eventually become. Laquo; Week seven activities. I think you make some really ...

Just another WordPress.com weblog. July 22, 2009 – 15:31. Unfortunately I’ve fallen behind with the last set of activities (hence the lack of updates for week 4, 5 and 6) but hopefully back on course now! The email invite for the Learning 2009 wiki had appeared and after joining there is a bit of navigating around to be done to see what features are available, or what discussions are currently running (e.g. a few of the “deliberately controversial” threads have been found). Learning 2.0 blog. July 24, 2009 in Uncategorized. We had a lecture from John Conway, Learning Technologist at Imperial. He showed us how multimedia is used in higher education – I’m quite envious of the technology available to today’s students. The videos can have subtitles added for hearing impaired students and also a student can zoom in on one particular area of the video if they are visually impaired. We saw a virtual oscilloscope that students can practice on before they are let loose on the real t...

Just another WordPress.com weblog. June 25, 2009 – 17:13. For the individual user though, who uses a computer in no more than two locations it did feel a bit too similar to having any other “Favourites” web browser list, or just putting a list of links on an RSS feed or personalised homepage. Haven’t made it to the second and third activity from this week yet. Laquo; Week two activities. Posted June 30, 2009 at 14:56. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.
