Knowledge is Power: December 2008
http://derrickhays.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 11, 2008. Reply to Colleague's Blog (2nd). This blog is a response to the Democratic Oligarchy. Blog, titled Proposition 8. I completely agree with you on everything you have stated in your previous blog. The GLBT community has been fighting for just basic rights to equality and marriage for a long time. It's more obvious now these days, as being a homosexual is more common. People can go and get hitched in Las. Proposition 8 was a very controversy topic for the state of California and...

.gov: Response to "What I Think"
http://trentliljestrand.blogspot.com/2008/12/response-to-what-i-think.html
Saturday, December 13, 2008. Response to "What I Think". I do not agree that SUV's and trucks do not sell. Even when gas was four dollars, do you know what the highest selling vehicle in America was? It was not a Toyota. It was a Ford truck, the F-150. And to your point that other companies are more deserving of the money, aren't all companies that ask for bailout money flawed anyway? Oh, and you know what? And another thing, what SUV's and trucks are you talking about? Their fuel economy is not bad anym...

.gov: Commentary on "A Continuous War"
http://trentliljestrand.blogspot.com/2008/11/commentary-on-continuous-war.html
Friday, November 14, 2008. Commentary on "A Continuous War". I agree that the government has a right to protect our freedoms. But I have to say, this will not be the first time that. His country has been involved in a war that seemingly had no end. The Cold War, even though it was not a direct conflict between the U.S. and the U.S.S.R., was still a war that no one ever thought would end. Perhaps we are always at war with someone no matter what we do. An enemy of America physically attacked American soil.

.gov: Are we there yet?
http://trentliljestrand.blogspot.com/2008/11/are-we-there-yet.html
Saturday, November 1, 2008. Are we there yet? Is the election over yet? The presidential election of 2008 is almost over. I think it’s about time. I do not know if I can take anymore of McCain, Obama, and Palin. I do not think that I can listen to all the non-issues. Do we know what McCain and Obama want to do or how they will change the country for the better? I know one thing. Their is going to be talk about Decision 2012 the second either Obama or McCain win the election. You’ve stated that you ...

Knowledge is Power: September 2008
http://derrickhays.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 18, 2008. The Economy is Hurting.who has the First-Aid kit? Both McCain and Obama have lashed out at each other about the U.S. economy. Obama wants to put a $1000 tax cut for middle class American families because he says the economy needs to be revitalized from the bottom up, not top down. By this he means that the rich need to be taxed more than the poor. Which some of this is true depending on what your economic status is? The war in Iraq is also hurting the U.S. economy an...McCai...

Knowledge is Power: October 2008
http://derrickhays.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 30, 2008. November 4th Election Day. Election day is on its way and the race to the White House is neck and neck. Both candidates from each party are struggling to gain more votes and they are visiting and revisiting all the undecided states. Each candidate has also come across some negative energy upon their campaign. Some Republicans are worried that nominated VP Sarah. Is bringing down their campaign due to her wacky personality. Although Tina Fey's impressions of Palin. Ethnicity an...
