Young Hearts: February 2014
http://lbryounghearts.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Carrie Hildebrand and Theresa Lowther. Tuesday, February 4, 2014. They changed the rules to the game of Life! Today, we had a snow day! You might not believe this, but teachers look forward to snow days just as much as students do. And, as a mom, I love being confined to home with my kids because I love spending time with them. But, the lesson in this blog is not about the importance of spending time with family. My boys asked if I would play The Game of Life. How did the rules to Life change so quickly?

Young Hearts: June 2012
http://lbryounghearts.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Carrie Hildebrand and Theresa Lowther. Saturday, June 30, 2012. Starting July 27, London will host the Olympics. Back in 1992, a runner by the name of Derek Redmond was competing in the 400 meter semi-finals of the summer Olympics held in Barcelona, Spain. His demonstration of athletic perseverance made history that day. Four years, five surgeries and countless hours of rehabilitation and training brought him back to the Olympics. Just watch his race. This is real perseverance. For the time will come whe...

Carrie Hildebrand and Theresa Lowther. Wednesday, September 28, 2011. Are you dating someone? Is there a boy that you like? Now, I don't know about you, but when I started dating, I was really checking out guys for marriage. The other day I happened on this short, funny video on dating. It was produced by a Jewish group, but don't let that throw you. I hope you enjoy it. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Young Hearts: November 2011
http://lbryounghearts.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Carrie Hildebrand and Theresa Lowther. Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Do you have a favorite Christmas? You know, the year where everything just seemed right in the world and the Red Ryder BB Gun you wanted was under the tree? Okay, maybe it was Mystery Date or a Cabbage Patch Doll or an American Girl Doll. There is one special Christmas that I reflect on every year. I’m not sure how old I was – maybe eight or nine. We fit right in. My dad accepted with one condition. Mr Berry balked at this. I received a...

Young Hearts: March 2012
http://lbryounghearts.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Carrie Hildebrand and Theresa Lowther. Saturday, March 10, 2012. Have you seen this video yet? Here you have a pod of dolphins who somehow are misguided. I don't know why they decided the shore would be a better place to hang out. Surely God created them to swim in the vast ocean and not flop along the sand. Maybe it looked like fun up there on the beach. Maybe the leader of the pod lost its way and the others just followed along. Do you know someone who has lost their way? I've missed you at church....

Young Hearts: April 2012
http://lbryounghearts.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Carrie Hildebrand and Theresa Lowther. Sunday, April 29, 2012. So, I was at Wal-Mart the other day, when I turned the corner and found two young men searching the carpet freshener section. They looked about college age. They looked confused. I glanced down at my list to see if I needed to venture down the aisle and overheard tidbits of a conversation. These unfortunate guys couldn't decide what odor eliminator to choose. You buy carpet deodorizer, of course. Do you know what happened? It'll turn to paste!

Young Hearts: October 2011
http://lbryounghearts.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Carrie Hildebrand and Theresa Lowther. Sunday, October 30, 2011. If you don't know, I picked up another half time job this fall. I'm a history teacher. I love history. I don't like memorizing dates, facts and figures, but I love the stories. I found a little story that took place inside the classroom of a history teacher and I would like to share it with you. A teacher asked her students to list what they thought were the. Seven Wonders of the World. The students cast the most votes for:. This year, I wa...
