My Elisalex dress! | Feminine Fabrications
https://femininefabrications.wordpress.com/2013/07/05/my-elisalex-dress
July 5, 2013. So, last week I finished my version of the Elisalex Dress. From By Hand London. And I love it! First of all, it came together so easily and it is so flattering. I wore it to a party on Saturday night and got so many compliments, way more than for any other self-made dress I’ve ever worn. As I mentioned in my previous post. I got the fabric from Ikea. It’s Solrun by Malin Åkerblom. The bodice is fully lined:. To check out their Elisalex Dress Sewalong. Have you made the Elisalex dress? Click...

Christmas in August? | everynightiscraftnight
https://everynightiscraftnight.wordpress.com/2016/08/09/christmas-in-august
The trials and tribulations of a wannabe maker of things. 12 months 12 projects. Things I’ve learned about quilt making →. August is here, the sun is shining, and the craft room is getting full. Maybe in the future when I have some spare pennies, and don’t fancy hours and hours of hand stitching. It is a challenge.). See that bronze horse? You are commenting...

The trials and tribulations of a wannabe maker of things. 12 months 12 projects. So the quilt top got stitched together to make an (almost) square, and I squeezed another (almost) square out of the remaining navy and red cotton I had…. And I basted it together and started to stitch, starting in the middle:. So Ms Quillow has been enjoying laying on the blanket box, which almost hides how ugly it is:. And on the left hand side is my one armed cardigan. Progress! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Teaching Women&...

Espresso Mud Cupcakes | playing with flour
https://playingwithflour.wordpress.com/2013/03/17/espresso-mud-cupcakes
There is nothing wrong with super sweet cakes and cookies but sometimes you need a grown up dessert. Something rich and sexy to share with a loved one or hide away and eat for a few secret minutes of self indulgence. These cupcakes fit that description perfectly. I would recommend making these in small sized cupcake liners as they are seriously rich, and be sure not to overcook them to ensure a moist cake. If you wanted to convert into one large cake I would recommend doubling the recipe. Preheat your ov...
