Thursday, August 28, 2014. I took a nice ride this morning, following the Fox river south on Route 31 from Wayne to Oswego and returning on the other side via Route 25. Later, on the way to work I noticed that the odometer was going to roll through a cool number and pulled over to take a picture. Yes, its a useless blog post and I am a nerd. Thursday, April 30, 2015. Purcell, Lexington and Sundog Trails. I had the pleasure of meeting the staff at Sundog, paid my fee and explored the trails. There is a lot of sand, next to the river and a mixture of sand and mud throughout. I almost dropped it a few times, got stuck on a hill etc. There is a nice section with some decent whoops (is that what they call them? Scenic overlook in Purcell. Tuesday, April 21, 2015. I finally got tired of my makeshift hand guards. They did the job, but one of them had cracked during a trail drop at some point. Tuesday, January 14, 2014. Installed custom bark busters. Regretfully, I should have purchased the Tusk hand guards w/ the plastic bark busters; I cheaper out. I had this extra headlight assembly laying around ($10 on eBay, long story) and I noticed that the lenses from it would make decent hand guard plastics. So here it is, not sure if it's gonna stay or go. As a nice bonus, you can still see the Tusk stickers. I made a mess with the dremel, hack saw, etc. The lenses were just RTV'd on. KLR P/N ID sheet.

Monday, June 1, 2015. Talimena Scenic Byway Etc. I met my friend Jason in Atoka, Oklahoma and we took the long way to Talihina to ride the Talimena Scenic Byway. We noticed later that 'watch' was spelled wrong. This was the worst puddle, Jason found a really deep spot (the hard way). Cleaning his waterproof boots off next to a spillway. Sunday, May 17, 2015.
