the world through my eyes: Dreams of Insomniac slumber
http://hjhazarika.blogspot.com/2009/11/dreams-of-insomniac-slumber.html
The world through my eyes. Monday, November 30, 2009. Dreams of Insomniac slumber. Most men dream while they sleep. Sweet dreams broadens their imaginary lips and makes them smile. Lengthen their slumber in hopes of living the dream just a few more heartbeats. Nightmares widens the real eyes, mutes the sweet lullaby, drives away the sleep. We draw solace in the more comfortable reality. We throw up prayers for the sweet dreams to come to pass. But my sweet dreams come to my life when I am wide awake.

On a lighter note, I am now desperately looking for the hero who would inspire me to win my other fight - win over the heart of my current crush or become a playboy. October 30, 2009 at 8:38 AM. Playboy will be better! October 30, 2009 at 2:52 PM. As GBS would say :. Life is not meant to be easy, my friend, but take courage: it can be delightful. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The world through my eyes. Friday, October 30, 2009. Ruminations on the years gone by. The evil that men do lives after them; the good is oft interred with their bones" :. As i enact those moments in my conscious and sub conscious minds, i cannot fail to appreciate the single thread that binds those moments together is the element of surprise. There is no such thing as a pleasant surprise. Links to this post. Thursday, October 29, 2009. The heroes of a defective piece. Links to this post. That brings out...

the world through my eyes: one of the best movies I have ever watched
http://hjhazarika.blogspot.com/2009/11/one-of-best-movies-i-have-ever-watched.html
The world through my eyes. Sunday, November 15, 2009. One of the best movies I have ever watched. I never thought the name Tyson could evoke sympathy and admiration in my heart till I watched this movie. Since I did not know the storyline, I kept hoping till the last lines of credit rolled out that university of Minnesota or its ramoji imitation will greet my eyes. Alas! We normally associate high pitched ridiculous action and "mind its" over aged heroes in south Indian movies. How wrong I was. View my c...

The Shuriken Samurai: India: A Sovereign Socialist Democratic Apathetic Average Republic
http://samarhere.blogspot.com/2012/06/india-sovereign-socialist-democratic.html
Sunday, June 24, 2012. India: A Sovereign Socialist Democratic Apathetic Average Republic. I am writing this article in support of Justice Katju, former Judge of the Supreme court, who said that 90% of Indians are fools. Please read the article here. This is not a sudden impulsive decision to write on this topic now. I have been seeing and observing how we, the people of this great nation, have stooped to an abysmal level of intellect, dialogue and a nation-directed conscience. We are extremely defensive...

The Shuriken Samurai: Culture Shmulture and Australia
http://samarhere.blogspot.com/2012/10/culture-shmulture-and-australia.html
Saturday, October 6, 2012. Culture Shmulture and Australia. Before coming to Australia, I was given warnings by almost everyone I knew. Mom, Dad, grandmothers, grandfathers, various uncles, aunties, cousins, friends, not so good friends, acquaintances, strangers, blogs, my employers and trainers, new co-workers, and well. Wikipedia. the culture of Australia is very different. Don't lose yourself. I would like to begin ranting on this now. It is a way people live life, I guess. But then, this is how I live.

The Shuriken Samurai: November 2010
http://samarhere.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 13, 2010. The Good, The Glamorous and The Ugly. I hate that kind of parties, where I don't know more than two people and not more than two people know me. And noone knows anyone really. Sort of those social functions. Feels, um. Boring. But there I was; doing a favor for a friend in one of those. Parties. I was hovering around the room trying to locate the only two people I knew: I failed, though. I turned. There was a girl standing over there, medium height and dark-ish complexion...

The Shuriken Samurai: Do you think the world will be a "better" place in 100 years? Or: long-run optimism or pessimism?
http://samarhere.blogspot.com/2012/11/do-you-think-world-will-be-better-place.html
Thursday, November 29, 2012. Do you think the world will be a "better" place in 100 years? Or: long-run optimism or pessimism? Someone asked me this interesting question on Quora ( which I love btw, one of the best sites to ever be on ), just posting my answer here. S intriguing a question this is, and being a fan of short answers, this one is difficult difficult, lemon difficult. Let me attempt one anyway based on my narrow understanding of politics, development and humans in this world. The BRIC countr...

The Shuriken Samurai: September 2010
http://samarhere.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 7, 2010. It was like any other night in the small town. The man made his way to the railway signal room. It was a night like any before. A chilly December night. Cold. Dark. He thought of his family on his way to work. Those thoughts kept him warm during his usual night shifts. He was living a good life. His elder son was earning well. His daughter and younger son were getting perfect grades. He was glad and he eased a sigh of content as he eased into his plastic chair. Suddenly there ...

The world through my eyes. Monday, December 29, 2008. Another shocker was my other roomie rambo aka Abhishek Raman.
