The Kloepfer Family: January 2011
http://kloepfersblog.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 24, 2011. Reporting in from SoCal. So, we were lucky to get a visit from my awesome sister, Jo Ann (a.k.a. Jo Jo) and Layne this weekend. Love these people! Since she forgot her camera back in the frozen Utah tundra, I told her I'd blog some photos. Motivation! We met at an undisclosed location and scooped up Jo while Layne went to do, you know, Layne stuff. Since it was sunny and 70, it was straight to the beach! And Max's fencing lesson. Did I mention we have a cushy guest bed now?

Wednesday, January 16, 2013. Mercedes, furniture and more furniture. To continue the last post, I've completed the teal T.V. stand! I painted the inside of the drawers "wet coral" which actually turned out looking quite orange next to the teal. I'm not in love with the two colors together but it will have to do for now, because it's going back into storage to make room for other furniture to work on. Here is Mercedes waiting to run errands, with chips in hand. I just love this girl! The next morning in f...

Some of our housemates, however, took a van almost to the summit (! We are staying in a nice home we found on AirBNB.com. It's fantastic&...Yes, ...

Alpine and Desert: October 2012

Geekery, Equipment, Nerdery, Techyness. Rainier Mountaineering, Inc. Desert Mountain Guides LLC. Thursday, October 18, 2012. An argument for simplicity. I've had a vision for a while of a decent sized day pack that isn't covered in straps and buckles. I really am not a fan of what packs have become. Most manufacturers try to jam as many features as possible into every pack. Like this:. Others stretch the imagination and the boundaries of design:. This is Blue Ice, out of Chamonix, France. Nice pack.
