I spend my days in the depths of Oakland, in a part that has become aptly named Ghost Town (and not because of all the white people that live there). Keeping Me in Stitches. Saturday, January 17, 2015. National Hat Day - January 15th. Here's how I celebrated the day - by knitting a new hat with some yarn that had recently arrived. The pattern follows if you're interested in knitting your own! Length of hat about 8.5 inches blocked. 10 stitch pattern repeat is approximately 2.5" wide. DK weight yarn or Sock weight (double stranded) I used about 50 grams of yarn. Size 6 16 " circular needles and size 6 DPNs. Yo - yarn over needle. Round 1 and 3 knit.
